Our country, empirically, is getting a lot stupider, and an increasing proportion of people won’t understand what Kmele is saying. They simply won’t be able to comprehend the argument. Competing with people like Hill will require entirely new forms of argumentation
I didn’t see this was an arbitration when first posted.
Attiah is an open bigot and extremist. She had no business serving as a WaPo’s editor in the first place. It’s absurd to conclude that a news org can’t fire an employee openly doing serious reputation harm.
@KarenAttiah "[S]peaking the truth" = making up a fabricated quote to smear a dead man
Also, even though my profession is quite literally "writer and editor" it's wrong to expect me to properly use quotation marks in a way that doesn't clearly misinform people who read my posts
Predictable
haha woke 1 was craaazy but if you said woke 1 was craaazy during woke 1 you were a fascist racist nazi
so whatever progressive politicians are talking about right now they’ll just “woke 2 was craaaazy” it away in 5 years?
incredible stuff
The money quote from Rogers: "I spent years hunting terrorists and bringing Osama bin Laden to justice. Never in a million years did I think that I would be running against someone who believes America deserved 9/11."
I feel like this video should get wide dissemination so regular Americans can understand just how 🦇💩 crazy our law schools (and the legal profession more broadly) actually are.
The dude on the right is Samuel Moyn, a respected, tenured professor at Yale Law School.
Watch this short video please.
One of the tenets of most forms of totalitarianism, including Marxism and Naziism, is to destroy the family as the basic building block of society and replace it with the State.
Moyn is suggesting that parents should not have the right to speak for their children, and that third parties--presumably those chosen by a government led by evildoing "experts" like Moyn--should speak on behalf of those children instead.
This is not a new idea. Hitler embraced this idea. Stalin embraced this idea. Mao embraced this idea.
Yet this is a respected professor at what is generally considered the premier law school in the USA.
We have a deep and troubling problem in America's legal profession, and we must find ways to reduce the power and influence of lawyers generally.
I say this as a lawyer myself.
The "moderate" Democratic presidential candidate wants to completely destroy entire segments of the American constitutional system.
Realize where we are.
I really don't think "You're lucky we've got paid security to prevent you being murdered by Islamists for speaking at the world's oldest and most prestigious bastion of free expression" is quite the pro-immigration flex you think it is, love.
This is a HUGE win for parental rights in Michigan!
During a back to school event, Shane Pruitt simply took a video of pride and transgender flags hanging in his son’s middle school classroom at Parcells Middle School in Grosse Pointe and shared it so other parents would know what was happening. He was respectful. He didn’t threaten or intimidate anyone. He exercised his First Amendment rights.
In response, the school district sent police to his home with a “no trespass” order, banned him from school property, and publicly posted his photo as a trespasser. This made it nearly impossible for a father to even drop his own son off at school.
When Shane first came to me, he was frustrated, exhausted, and being treated unfairly by the district. Several attorneys turned him away. I’m so glad someone pointed him in my direction. We got him connected with the right team — David and Stephen Kallman of Kallman Legal Group — and they fought this all the way.
After a full evidentiary hearing, a federal judge has now granted Shane a preliminary injunction. The no-trespass order is blocked. His photo must come down. And the school is prohibited from further retaliation for his protected speech.
No parent should ever be punished, harassed, or banned from their child’s school simply for speaking up. Public schools do NOT get to silence parents they disagree with.
I’m incredibly proud of Shane for standing firm, and deeply grateful to the Kallman team for once again defending the constitutional rights of Michigan parents and children.
I will always stand up for parental rights and for our kids in this state. This is exactly why we fight 🙌🏻 🇺🇸
We remember Sir Sam Neill (1947–2026), whose remarkable career left a lasting mark on audiences around the world.
For naval audiences, Neill will be remembered for his role as Captain Second Rank Vasily Borodin, the steadfast executive officer aboard the Soviet submarine Red October in The Hunt for Red October (1990). His portrayal of Borodin's professionalism, loyalty, and quiet courage helped make the film one of the most respected naval thrillers ever brought to the screen.
Fair winds and following seas, Sir Sam Neill. ⚓
Ana Kasparian called people monsters for gloating over the dead.
Today she’s “overjoyed” Lindsey Graham is dead.
What you need to understand is that she didn’t break her principle. She revealed she never had one.
“Never gloat” always just meant “never gloat about my side.”
“That didn't look like Tyler to me!"
"Those texts are fake!"
"It's a body double!"
If there was any small possibility any of these theories were true, Robinson's defense would bring them up. The defense team has worked much harder, cares a lot more, and are likely much smarter than any Internet sleuths.
Unless you believe they, along with Egyptians, Netanyahu, Orem local police, Robinson, his parents, Twiggs, the feds, UVU, are also in on this grand conspiracy. But, of course, that would be a very sophisticated plan that was also sloppy enough to be uncovered by YouTube influencers
"I was okay with Graham Platner getting a Nazi Totenkopf tattoo, being physically abusive as a boyfriend, his racist & misogynistic comments on Reddit, sexting minors on Kik, wishing death on a fellow soldier, cranking hog in a porta-potty, lying about his reason for enlisting in the military for the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, leaving the military to work for Blackwater, and being a communist, but SEXUAL ASSAULT is where I DRAW THE LINE."
@EsotericCD This remains to this day one of my favorite movies of all time, ever since I first saw it as a kid. It will never age, it will never get old. Absolute classic
Michael Crichton is such a fascinating figure and it is a goddamn shame he died so young
This guy got into Harvard Medical School and said "actually, I want to write stories" so he wrote one of the most harrowing long short stories, the Andromeda Strain.
This guy was addicted to research. He read scientific journals for fun and researched everything that captured his interest. He was curious and skeptical. He thought hard about the implications of technology all the time.
And, instead of being a dork and writing a blog, he wrote entire novels warning about the dangers of emerging technologies. And they were great!
He wrote a `Prey` about the dangers of combining AI with nanobots 24 years ago. It's tremendous. You could publish it today and it would be relevant.
I miss him. I miss technically competent authors who can spin a good yarn while informing the reader about how technology is changing the world.
Crichton was a generational talent and we are poorer for his absence.
