@DiabetesWales@DiabetesUKCymru@beckylt09@PublicHealthW@t1dleader@SwanseabayNHS are doing fab work using OCT in Community Optometry to support people with screen positive results. OCT isn't approved for use in routine first line DR screening by UK screening committee but lots of research reviewing how it should link up ๐
@t1dleader@beckylt09@YADiabetesWales Thanks so much for all of your comments and assistance. I really feel that we can make a real difference and improve Welsh eye screening with your generous help.๐ค
@pumpydavies Sorry to hear that Sara. If you want to DM me your details I can contact you to discuss your concerns and feedback when I'm back in work next week.
@pumpydavies @PancreaticPlot @beckylt09@williams_dai@DiabetesUKCymru@parthaskar@Type1Hurdles I'm on holiday at the moment so don't have access to the letter text. Any suggestions to improve the wording would be gratefully received though, it's a real challenge to get wording that works for everyone and sometimes we don't get it right.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be an NHS manager when I grew up. I'm so proud and feel hugely privileged to have played a small part in supporting people to receive compassionate, high quality, free care for the past 18 years. #NHS70#NHSCymru70
#TheFastFixDiabetes#Type2 Really interesting results at the halfway stage, major kudos to the group. But even if diabetes resolved/in remission keep on with diabetic eye screening as you're still at risk.
Why did I make an infographic about dilating eyeballs? First, I like infographics. They please me. Second, I am a strong supporter of non-ophthalmologists learning and improving their fundus exam skills and dilation makes it soooo much easier. Third, I had a light clinic today.
