It’s horrible that those struggling mentally & w/suicidal ideation by extension would rather stay silent than ask for help. There shouldn’t be repercussions. Getting help for a potentially life-threatening illness shouldn’t be more frightening than living w/the illness itself.
The autistic urge to eat the same food every day until suddenly you find the thought of it unappealing and can no longer eat it.
Then repeat this with a new food.
Then return to the old food when it suddenly seems appealing again.
9 years ago I left my toxic job as the director of women's health. To some this job would be everything but it was erasing my soul. People thought I was crazy for leaving and starting my own heart centered practice. Now I help heal people every day... Mind, body and soul
Trying to SILENCE the Autistic Brain is Difficult!
Trying to silence the autistic mind can feel impossible, especially when thoughts race, loop, or stack on top of each other. In this video, I not only explain why, but I show how mental noises are so common in Autism. Sensory input, anxiety, and executive function all play a role in this.
The purpose of this reel is to briefly simulate what we usually go through every time we sit down to study (or while trying to sleep at night). I know that every autistic is different and that non-autistics can relate to some degree.
If you want the full video, please search up "Trying to Silence the Autistic Mind Is Hard | Why It’s So Hard and What Helps" on YouTube; my channel name is Matthew Kenslow.
Can you relate? What has been your experience? Do you have any advice that would help? Let us know in the comments 💬👇
IMPORTANT: This isn't exclusive to Autism and not all Autistics would relate.

WHITE light contains every colour, which is revealed through the prism.
What if LOVE is the same?
Érōs (passion), Phila (friendship), Storgē (family), Agápē (unconditional love), Ludus (playfulness), Prâgma (enduring devotion) and Philautía (healthy self-love) are not separate kinds of LOVE...
...but the ONE refracted through the prism of human experience.
Manía is what happens when LOVE loses coherence and collapses... into OBSESSION.
Autistic Burnout isn't a sign you worked too hard.
It's a sign the world refused to accommodate you, and you ran out of ways to compensate for that refusal.
Hustling more isn't the answer - it's precisely how you got here.

I have alexithymia to an extent. I know extreme states like anger/upset/fear, but that's about it. It's weird when they ask, ''how are you feeling?''. What what what?
In this video I talk about autism, synergy, and why we are stronger together, rather than isolated. I explain how different strengths, perspectives, and support systems come together to create understanding, resilience, and real inclusion.
This is about moving beyond independence as the only measure of success and recognizing the power of collaboration, accommodation, and mutual respect within neurodiverse communities and beyond.
💬 Where have you seen synergy make a real difference in understanding or inclusion? Let us know in the comments below 👇

20 years ago today, I graduated 5th grade, receiving a certificate celebrating my use of sense of humor daily (and I got perfect attendance that year too), and concluding with a pool party at a classmate's house. I'll never forget that day :)
20 years later, I couldn't help but walk by ... ;)
