@SeanKGriffiths There were conversations online, but the dominant conversation that's overhanging everything is the Israel game. This goes back to my original point and the subject of a purity test that takes away from the core issue; why is a nation that breaks FIFA rules playing football?
This entire conversation is a mass scale purity test of international sport without addressing why people don't want Israel playing Ireland in international football. Amongst a number of reasons is the fact that Israel repeatedly breaks FIFA rules.
There’s a growing list of the virtuous class in Ireland who think we shouldn’t play soccer against Israel.
But that same group think it’s ok that Ireland are going to play cricket against Afghanistan.
The virtuous Irish are of course in no way antisemitic.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
@SeanKGriffiths That's massively generalising. People called out Richie Sadlier for Qatar, and he has commented numerous times during the World Cup in 2022 about their sportswashing. If we focus on everything at once nothing is focused on, and Israel being in FIFA is a major issue.
Former @CobhRamblersFC and @Glentoran manager Mick McDermott is off to the World Cup as a coach with Ghana.
The Munster Senior Cup winner will face Croatia, England, and Panama.
There's been a campaign to get Israel kicked out of FIFA because they have teams based in the Occupied West Bank. Addressing the actual reasoning, alongside the brutal slaughter of Palestinians, means admitting there's moral alternative.

There's a wider conversation about UNIFIL soldiers returning from Lebanon with chronic PTSD over their experiences. Many Irish people from working class backgrounds were forever traumatised by their experiences.
Great signing if they can get Eli Manning firing, the NFC could get very interesting with Cam Newton and the Panthers too.
What do you mean it's not 2016 anymore?
Reunion: Odell Beckham Jr. is returning to the New York Giants, the team he last played for in 2018. Beckham visited the team again Monday, and is signing with New York.
It’s now World Cup build-up week
Last time, there was fury about Qatar’s issues
There’s now nothing even though it all applies to PSG
The rhapsodising of Saturday and Pep’s exit shows how this all works
And this is as Qatar change how football works

Aujourd’hui ? Ils achètent le maillot du PSG.
@StephenBrowne4 Genuinely one of my favourite summers for hurling looking back. That All Ireland run was magical. Na Piarsaigh getting to the county semi topped it off. I'm still stick about Clare's equaliser
Three former Cork City Academy graduates in the Ireland squad tonight, and two former @RingmahonRanger players. Massive endorsement of the local game, with added moments for @TramoreAthletic and @collegecors
