“Anonymity is not invisibility”
My interview with the children injured in the Southport knife attack and their parents some of whom say they’ve been denied support because officials didn’t know who they were. https://t.co/DJqeFbT7jy
It’s 10 years since barrister Pete Weatherby KC showed me his first draft of a statutory duty of candour - aka Hillsborough Law. This piece by Pete explains why he and other campaigners are so opposed to the government’s exemption proposals for Hillsborough Law. Worth a read.
MI5's false and misleading evidence given in the BBC/Beth case, Manchester Arena bombing, and Operation Kenova investigation epitomises why Hillsborough Law's Duty of Candour must apply to the intelligence services.

Today - as every year on April 15th - my thoughts are with the many people I know whose lives changed forever on this day at Hillsborough in 1989. Those who lost loved ones. Those who survived. Those who have campaigned. Those who are no longer with us to share their legacy. YNWA
After 13 years, the @policeconduct#Hillsborough summary report will be published tomorrow. One former Director of the Investigation has told me he thinks the watchdog should publish its full findings now, instead. More here:

Very proud of this project to uncover the current state of the adoption system. We found lies, blame & more than 1000 children sent back to care.
File on Four Investigates: Adoption - The Blame Game is on Radio 4 on Tuesday Dec 2, and BBC Sounds now.

The Inquiry will be heard in two phases.
(1) circumstances surrounding the attack and the events leading up to it, including the perpetrator’s history.
(2) the wider issues of children and young people being drawn into extreme violence
What a day for @FigenMurray and team. I’ve followed every stage of their fight to create Martyn’s Law - this is a momentous day for them, summed up perfectly in this video!
Martyn's Law has become an Act of Parliament and official legislation since 11.10 am today. After 6 years and 3 months it is so great to finally get there!
As the @Thirlwall_Inq hearings wrap up I’ve been taking a look at its thousands of documents to see what story they tell of how doctors’ suspicions about Lucy Letby were handled. A special report, with the BBC’s Visual Journalism team.
