Jose W. Diokno was a former Senator, a nationalist, and a statesman of the highest order.

At one time, he was our family lawyer. But to the Filipino people, he was much more. He was proof that public service could still be guided by conscience, courage, intellect, and love of country.

He belonged to a generation that understood that the Senate was not a stage for ambition. It was a sacred duty. A place where the people’s pain, hopes, and future were supposed to be defended.

The reason why the Impeachment Trial goes off air is because the Majority Senators already decided to remove her from office, be it legally or illegally. There would be hearings and presenting of evidences but it wont matter anymore. SP Cayetano already stated this.
