Someone once asked me:
“It is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.
But how does the warrior stay a warrior when life becomes peaceful?”
I thought about that for a while.
And I think the question may be backwards.
A warrior in a garden does not spend every morning proving that he is still a warrior.
He tends the garden.
He protects what has grown there.
He fixes what is broken.
He teaches the young.
He does the difficult things nobody sees.
And when the people he loves can sleep without fear, he does not wonder whether he has become weak.
That was the point.
Perhaps peace does not mean the warrior has lost his purpose.
Perhaps peace is what all that training was for.
We spend so much of our lives asking:
Am I still strong?
Am I still useful?
Am I still respected?
Do I still matter?
Maybe those are the wrong questions.
Look at what is under your protection.
Is your family safe?
Are the people around you stronger because you are there?
Did you do what needed to be done today, even when nobody was watching?
Then the warrior is still there.
A sword is not valuable because it is always drawn.
Sometimes its highest purpose is making sure it never needs to be.
Take care of your garden.
That may be the greatest battle you ever win.
Are you happy about this MAGA? Now H-1B guest workers will not have time to find another H-1B job on American soil, or adjust their status and get another visa. They will have to self-deport immediately. How many Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS super-geniuses can we afford to lose? And think about how Costco will no longer be as crowded. Is this what you voted for?
H1B father of 7 goes from making $20K in India to $65K stealing a $110k job from an American.
Wife gets a $65K job.
Kids go to the best public schools costing $250k in tax money, ready for DEI College.
You get a zero down mortgage.
You pay No taxes for $380K in benefits.
7 displaced Americans. Competition up and wages downs by freeloader with negative contribution to the system.
60+ year olds in senior positions making $350,000 a year when you ask them to convert a word doc to pdf or anything else that doesn’t involve managing a business relationship handed to them in 1980 by a guy that just wanted to retire as fast as possible.
Keep your problems smaller than your life. A flat tire is a flat tire. A bad meeting is a bad meeting. A canceled flight is just an extra two hours. These things become catastrophes when you let them. But they stay manageable when you remember the depth of your real life- the people you love, the work you care about, the beautiful years still ahead. Zoom out. Fit your reaction to the size of the problem.
If I hear another Boomer conservative bitching about Gen Z ordering DoorDash I’m going to become a communist. It’s true their grandparents always cooked homemade meals. But that’s because grandma stayed at home and grandpa had a union job and nobody could reach him after 5. They had a house with a full kitchen and 3 kids by 25. Meanwhile half of Gen Z men are forced to compete with the entire population of South America for some 12 hour long shift HVAC job that barely pays the rent. They’re 30 and nobody cooks for them because they can’t find any women who’ll marry them when they can’t even afford a starter home in the ghetto. The other half of Gen Z men are busting their ass competing with the entire populations of India and China for some 70 hour a week powerpoint job that asks them for updates on the slides at 3AM. They can’t find anyone to cook for them either, because every women around them is convinced that being a mother and cooking for a man is beneath them because they’re gonna save the world when they become VP of Marketing at MegaCorp in 20 years.
Food is expensive because working Americans have to buy it for ourselves and also for 50 million food stamp recipients and God knows how many USAID/MCC-fed third worlders abroad

I just want to thank everyone who has followed and interacted with this page recently, it’s been incredible to see the support for it!
I’ve had a lot of comments so I figured I’d clear the air. This account isn’t run or owned by a gambling site or any other company. It’s just one guy who loves sports. I have 0 plans on taking any sponsors so you’ll never see a paid ad on this page.
For those asking about football season, Wednesdays in 2026 sync with Saturdays in 2006 and Thursdays with Sundays so if you’re looking for football content those days will be the heaviest with it.
Thanks again for all of the support and making this account incredibly fun!
