@RailUsersIe Definitely the biggest sucker punch is @IrishRail running passenger services through Portlaoise without stopping. This does not happen in any other county town in the country and forces Dublin-Portlaoise commuters onto slow services, even as an express one is available.

@fogaratigh No, left turns legal at the junction but driver not only occupied the entire advanced stop box but actually went over it, leaving Oisín with no room to take up proper position on the junction, as he'd have been in danger from drivers turning right from Chapelizod direction.

The new Public Service Agreement won't address the problem of low pay for new entrants. In the negotiations the government side refused to remove skipped points from pay scales. They can't have it both ways. Remove the 2011 lower entry points now as a matter of policy!
