Groundlight is now available for use with Agentic AI as the Groundlight MCP Server. You can build a sophisticated video stream monitoring computer vision application complete with alerts by having a conversation with Claude Desktop or your favorite AI coding agent. https://t.co/15hLjE620b #mcp #agentic
We made an open-source MCP server https://t.co/tdFOKo5SaB that turns HuggingFace zero-shot object detection pipelines into tools that Claude and others can use to locate objects or zoom (crop) to an object. Conceptually vision capabilities as tools are complementary to VLM's reasoning powers. In practice the zoom tool allows Claude to see small details much better. More on our approach in the blog post: https://t.co/wry3vKaI0G. We're working on extending mcp-vision's capabilities and welcome community contributions.

We're excited to invite you to an exclusive webinar on Counting Objects with Computer Vision, featuring @GroundlightAI!
Join Dr. Paulina Varshavskaya and Dr. Amirreza Farnoosh F. as they discuss how you can:
✅ Count the exact things you care about - for example, go beyond counting the number of people and count the number of people in your company's uniform.
✅ Combine active learning with real-time human oversight so you can configure it to perform at any accuracy level you want.

What if you could know instantly if an item is out of stock? 🛑
Or get real-time counts of your inventory? 📦
Or know which products customers are engaging with - but not purchasing? 💸
Here’s how @GroundlightAI can be used to set up an inventory monitoring system:
🔵 Object detection: 💢 precisely identifies and locates products on shelves
🔵 Object counting: 1️⃣ 2️⃣ 3️⃣ accurately tracks the number of items for each product
🔵 Text Recognition: 🔍 Reads product names into machine-readable text automatically
🔵 Analyze customer behavior: 🛒 identify when customers are touching certain products and/or returning those products to shelves without purchasing
Not that long ago we learned that VLMs are incapable of answering very straightforward visual questions:
Are two circles 🔴🔵 touching?
How many times do these ⏸️ lines cross?
It's completely unsurprising that you can train a much smaller model to answer one of these simple tasks, which the @GroundlightAI system does clearly and almost perfectly, while hiding all the MLOps from the user.

If you’re a parent in Seattle then you’re probably pretty invested in which schools will remain open in Seattle. This spreadsheet with data justifying the choices is pretty insightful
Seattle Public Schools has announced their two options for closing schools. (Options as in "Would you like to walk to your bedroom, or be carried?")
Trying to make sense of the data justifying their choices? I compiled it into a spreadsheet: https://t.co/qzT6Zn42ho
There's a ton of hype around AI, and people are starting to feel disenchanted. But within the noise are emerging some cases where AI is actually adding value.
An example of how AI can actually solve real business problems.
Prominent automotive parts provider and Fortune 500 company, LKQ, leverages Groundlight AI to save thousands in rework costs.

Even if you have a beginner level knowledge of Python, we guarantee that you can deploy your first computer vision application with Tim Huff's tutorial: https://t.co/kNY3aK2Gxy
Stay tuned as we will share more complex and creative computer vision tutorials!
Just released a new Youtube video tutorial for how to build a computer vision application using our Python-SDK - try it out and let us know what you think: https://t.co/MsljPAfwTh
Our robotics engineer Tim Huff breaks it down, step by step, with an easy example of building a computer vision application to automatically notify you when your trashcan is full.
Stay tuned for more interesting applications down the road!

@felipecsl I feel like birth rates plummeting is more due to it being so hard to have kids (cost, hard to find daycare, lack of healthcare access, etc) so I suppose I worry less about this as a problem haha
We are at @SmartCityExpoUS 2024, met @Slalom's robot dog 🐶, Spot! Spot is running Groundlight AI plugin, enables it to use computer vision to solve various problems: leaks at a factory, is anything blocking a critical path in a warehouse, etc.

@0xMikeyF @bunsen@felipecsl@ouraring TBH I don’t think sharing sleep scores with friends is a huge pain point of mine, it’s more like a feature. Now if you can help my baby sleep so I get better sleep, I’m sold!
