ALLATRA Civic Platform New York hosted a community event at Civic Hall on April 23: “Micro- and Nanoplastics: Impact on Animals and Nature.”
📣The event brought together scientists, researchers, and New York City residents for an open discussion on the growing impact of micro- and nanoplastics on living systems. The presentation drew from the documentary Nanoplastics: A Threat to Life and the report Nanoplastics: A Systematic Risk Analysis for Human Health, Ecosystems, and the Environment, released by the ALLATRA Global Research Center.
Speakers examined the effects of micro- and nanoplastics on ocean ecosystems, wildlife, insects, farm animals, and pets, showing how plastic pollution moves through the food chain and interacts with living organisms at the cellular level. The limitations of current solutions, including recycling and ocean cleanup efforts, were also explored.
Oli Kotyk, an ALLATRA speaker, explained how a single gram of plastic can ultimately fragment into quadrillions of nanoplastic particles, and invited an audience member to participate in a live demonstration. Through a series of simple experiments, the audience identified one of plastic’s defining properties: its ability to acquire and retain an electrostatic charge.
📶Dr. Anastasiya Pashigreva, a scientist and representative of the ALLATRA GRC, highlighted how this property may allow plastic particles to penetrate the cells of animals and plants and interfere with the electrical processes that sustain living organisms - from neural signaling to photosynthesis.
She closed with the words: “The animals cannot advocate for themselves. Bees losing their ability to navigate home cannot tell us what is happening to them. The shearwater chick with hundreds of pieces of plastic in its stomach cannot testify before a legislature. But we know. And knowing, we are responsible.”
Stay tuned to ALLATRA New York for more upcoming community events.

What if russia's influence network is much bigger than you think?
Not just bots.
Not just propaganda.
Politicians. Media figures.
This investigation maps the connections, the money, and the narratives shaping public opinion across the West.
Dr. Sylvia Earle & Liz Taylor share insights on ocean care, from deep-sea discovery to microplastics in our waters. They invite us to move from extraction to protection, and indifference to responsibility. How can we turn science into public awareness and shared action?
This is my appeal to religious leaders, policymakers, scientists, doctors, entrepreneurs, and all people of good will.
Microplastics and nanoplastics are no longer just an environmental issue. They are being found in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and inside the human body.
This is a question of health. A question of children’s future. A question of responsibility before God, before humanity, and before the world entrusted to us.
From now on, I will be speaking more about this issue, because this is Spiritual Diplomacy in action: bringing together faith, science, public leadership, and human conscience to address threats that no one can solve alone.
We need research. We need innovation. We need political will. And we need spiritual leaders who are not silent when creation itself is under threat.
For the air we breathe.
For the water we drink.
For the children we love.
For the life God has entrusted to us.

On Feb 25, 2026, in Ukraine, the appellate court issued its final decision: no grounds for prohibition of ALLATRA International Public Movement.
The Court rejected the “expert” conclusions prepared by Kremenovska, which were found unreliable and lacking independence. It is a known fact that Kremenovska is an agent of Russian RACIRS and has attempted to undermine Ukraine from within.
The rule of law and democratic principles prevailed in Ukraine.
The Court upheld the earlier decision of the Kyiv District Administrative Court, recognizing that the organization:
•Is properly registered as a public union under Ukrainian law.
•Carries out activities within the limits of its Charter, including cultural, educational, charitable, and social initiatives.
•Does not engage in illegal political or religious activity.
•Has no proven involvement in anti-Ukrainian actions or criminal offenses.
•Respects the rights of its members and the legal framework for public associations.
This decision is final and ensures that ALLATRA may continue its lawful activities and maintain its official registration.

Ukrainian Court Confirms Rule of Law Dismissing the allegations against ALLATRA International Public Movement
Kyiv, Ukraine — February 2026
In February 25, 2026, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the Kyiv District Administrative Court in the case initiated in 2022.
The appellate ruling confirms the April 2025 judgment of the first-instance court, which found that the ALLATRA is a patriotic pro Ukrainian organization and the so-called expert opinion on which case was based is illegitimate. The opinion was compiled by Iryna Kremenovska, agent of Russian FSB affiliated organization RACIRS, led by Alexander Dvorkin.
This appellate decision is final and not subject to further appeal.

The delegation of the ALLATRA International Public Movement took part in COP29 in Baku (Azerbaijan)
ALLATRA representatives made a significant contribution to the international dialogue by presenting an expert assessment of the global climate and environmental situation and calling for the unification of scientific potential to overcome an unprecedented threat.
In an interview with leading Azerbaijani news agencies, including Trend and CBC, ALLATRA President Marina Ovtsynova, a student at the School of Management. John F. Kennedy of Harvard University and a participant in the annual negotiating Program at Harvard Law School, made a key statement that the number of climate disasters is growing unprecedented, and also noted that "we do not realize how close we are to the point of no return." Her words received a wide response in the international media.
Egon Cholakian, an international expert on national security and climate, the official representative of ALLATRA, highly appreciated the organization of the summit, noting the hospitality and uniqueness of Baku as a platform for international dialogue.
Within the framework of COP29, ALLATRA held a conference where the problem of an additional factor of temperature increase on the planet due to abnormal overheating of the ocean caused by anthropogenic pollution of its waters with micro- and nanoplastics was considered. The presentation, based on 30 years of independent research experience of the organization's volunteers and scientists, attracted the close attention of the international scientific community.
