Spent a lot of time yesterday thinking on criticisms of UDL and snowplowing all the difficulties for students out of the way. Challenges need to be kept but barriers lowered/removed. It can be difficult to tell which are which sometimes. Knowing your Sโs is critical.

A1. To me, alternative assessments are assessments that really focus on the six Cs of learning - they are non traditional (ie. paper pencil tasks) and can incorporate a wide variety of other skills. Here are some assessments I regularly use with students. #NLMathChat
In maths enrichment we worked with @microbit_edu and @Desmos to graph out how quickly the temp of Pizza drops, then we used Google Maps and scale drawings to map out the distance we could cover to deliver ๐ without complaints! #mathsbtc
