Today is #TransDayofVisibility, a day of celebration and advocacy for trans and non-binary people around the world. Globally, trans people are facing barriers to living their lives free from persecution and need the support of our community, now more than ever. #Thread #TDOV2023

@Naomi93139657 I agree! They are teaching kids how to use social media in an effective way!

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@catherineh444 Great example. I use social media for this as well

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@SaviniSemaratne This is a very effective movement

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@Deshna0611 I think this is a great point, social media isn't always a positive thing.

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@nesquik975 @GovCanHealth This is a great example of good use of social media!

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@catherineh444 I agree with this a lot!

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@catherineh444 I remember doing this when I was younger! I agree !

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@Am11nnaa I see this all the time on social media and have found many brands using influencers these days

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@Am11nnaa I agree! As someone who shops at Sephora I feel very engaged with their social media

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@Deshna0611 That's a good viewpoint!

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@catherineh444 I never thought about it like this! Good view!

[Julia @Juliahall31]

@catherineh444 I agree ! The radio is a way I hear a lot of my news!

I will ensure I keep my online identity to a minimum, and only put things out that will be beneficial to me; if an employer were to see what I post I can be confident it's all good. This applies to my future career ensuring I keep this reputation #GNED1411 14.2

[Julia @Juliahall31]

The three most useful things I have learned in this course are :
1. Keeping track of your online identity
2. About the social dilemma
3. how business use social media and marketing strategies
#GNED1411 14.2

[Julia @Juliahall31]

The most surprising thing I learned about social media was about journalism and the different types. How people who are " journalists " try to spread news themselves without facts #GNED1411 14.2

[Julia @Juliahall31]

I think social media will change by constantly upgrading their platforms and offering paying- fee options for now free apps like Instagram, Twitter etc. I think tik tok will expand and you will get more networking opportunities as social media grows. #GNED1411 14.1

[Julia @Juliahall31]

I feel like social media could be beneficial in the classroom if used sparingly. Some classmates may take advantage of this and it be distracting. #GNED1411 13.3
