Our nervous systems are created to connect and bring calm. Attunement to CYP in an emotional storm is key for co-regulation. Behaviour is communication! Children need to know even when they are not at their best, they're worthy of calm, caring, empathetic & connective dialogue.
The only political anything I watched today, after 7.30am, was @KamalaHarris speech to America. Look at that smile even in the face of this outcome. That is #Grace & #Courage. She spoke of joy, kindness & dignity. "You have power." I am #grateful.

Wishing England all the very best tonight ⚽. In 🇬🇧 it's sad the home nations don't back each other. Yes I support Wales all the way! But I never want another team to beat a home nation. However, the best flag is not incorporated in the 🇬🇧 🤣. Here it is to send you wishes
A few practitioners could learn from this 👇. Absolutely, be professional but please be real! If more CYP were shown strategies how to resolve their mistakes rather than belittle them, I am sure mental health would half ❤️
Someone asked me yesterday why I am so passionate about gay Pride. To which I replied "When you have the privilege of working with Children and young people you want their best. When a YP believes their sexual orientation is at the root of their mental health you support them!
A heads up for parents, carers and professionals who work or support our amazing children and young people with additional needs and special rights. Moorways sports village are doing protected sessions 👇
