I’ve called them each week for the past 5 weeks, they just keep telling me there’s a glitch which never gets fixed. I was promised a call back from a manager, but I haven’t had a call. How can I escalate the issue and get it resolved!?!
@TfL how can I raise a complaint about a photocard not arriving? Tfl sent card on 3 Oct, never arrived. I called after 10 w days, was told there is a technical glitch which meant another card could not be sent, but the glitch would be fixed. 5 wks later, still no fix and no card!
Shadow welfare secretary Mel Stride tells Labour MPs: "Look to your conscience. These measures, you know in your heart that these measures are wrong."
In 2012, the Tory govt capped benefits increases to 1%, well below inflation & introduced the “bedroom tax”.
In 2013, household benefit cap was introduced to limit max a family could receive in benefits.
In 2015, the Tories abandoned targets set by Labour to reduce child poverty.
In 2016, benefits were frozen for four years as public spending was cut again.
In 2017, Tory govt brought in two-child cap for tax credits & UC to remove income for three or more children.
The emotional whiplash between Joe's withdrawal on Saturday, to realizing we're going to elect the 1st woman of color as our next President is probably closest you'll ever get to knowing what it feels like to make the jump to hyper-space. 🤯
I’m so proud of my girl, Kamala. Barack and I are so excited to endorse her as the Democratic nominee because of her positivity, sense of humor, and ability to bring light and hope to people all across the country. We’ve got your back, @KamalaHarris!
Newly elected members of the French parliament refusing to shake hands with the far right is extremely satisfying. A particular shout out to the rock paper scissors gag.
Claiming poverty, leniency and exception just days after paying shareholders £156 million in dividends.
Not a good look @thameswater, really not a good look.

BREAKING
FAR RIGHT REJECTED in France after tactical voting between Left-Green Alliance in 1st place and Macron’s party in 2nd place
Far right with Le Pen in third
Just as in the UK, the country has gone centre and left 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I’m missing our dear friends Paddy and Charles especially today.
They would have loved these results – especially seeing the Liberal Democrats winning back their old seats in Somerset and the Highlands!
The final seat is in. The general election of 2024 is over.
A true transformation of Parliament has taken place. I can’t quite fathom that Conservative number. The Tory Party has never been more marginal or unimportant in British parliamentary politics.
The most powerful impression of @Keir_Starmer press conference was that we are returning to serious grown up politics and government. Not a day too soon. The focus on ministerial standards was welcome. Devoting Day 2 to meetings with First Ministers or Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland was a great sign after the contempt shown to them by the Tories in recent years. Ditto Metro Mayors Day 3. And it was like a breath of fresh air to hear and see the focus on prisons. The @JamesTCobbler appointment is inspired. Also if I can tell @Emmabarnett of another swimming pool chat - Jason from Yorkshire said it was amazing how much stronger and more confident KS looked since actually winning. That is the power of the office.
Morning.
Might manage some sleep today
Back on air on @LBC tomorrows Sunday at 3pm
Wonder we’ll be talking about ❤️❤️
Finishing off my book now for Sept 12th publication. The General Election- the final chapter!!

Timpson’s are well-known for employing ex-offenders to help them back into work. They pay their tax. They value their staff. And then there’s this.
CEO James Timpson (who’s also Chair of the Prison Reform Trust) is the new Prisons Minister. Great appointment
This was one of the best results of the night. Good buy who cares about Rochdale beats someone Neil Kinnock rightly called repellent, and both of us have called much worse because we know what he is.
Take it in. The first female chancellor. The first housing secretary who's actually lived in social housing. The first education secretary who was on free school meals. An energy secretary who actually believes in aggressively fighting climate change. Not a bad afternoon.
I have many criticisms of Sunak and the Conservatives but we should all reflect that they have shown no hesitation in accepting the will of the people nor any hint of questioning its legitimacy. Citizens of other nations look on enviously.
