Ten years ago today, I started to blog on "Julien Frisch–Watching Europe".
This was about a year before the #EP09/#EU09/#EP2009 elections, on which I've written >100 posts. These are all linked in this overview article:

So how will #EP2019 be different?
10 years ago today, I wrote my last regular blog post under this pseudonym:

Looking back at the past 10 years, it's incredible how this alter ago shaped the trajectory of the real me, and what 🇪🇺 relationships "Julien" formed that are still with me today.
10 years ago today, I participated in the @EPP pre-#EUCO Council meeting as a #euroblogger.
What still amazes me 10 years later is how I got VIP access—able to walk freely among heads of state & government + their advisors—while using my pseudonym:

Once a blogger, always a blogger.
After years of absence, I've decided to blog again.
Thx @ronpatz, @kosmopolit & yesterday's enthusing @EUDebate for giving me the final nudge to start blogging again.

#EP2019
Discussed ideas for the #EP2019 election campaign with Constantin Doral #Onaca & Ioana #Constantin of EPP member party #PMP at their HQ in #Bucharest this afternoon. Our EPP parties have given responsible leadership & vision to the people of Romania🇷🇴 & Europe🇪🇺
Further erosion of the @EFDgroup now certain to fall apart before #EP2019, and, more importantly, hardening of anti-EU stance of the @ecrgroup by admitting a party openly calling for EU exit. https://t.co/CQybw0Nb48
@agitpops@alemannoEU The "petty fights" was rather directed at the intra-movement fights (i.e. the divergence of the socialists or liberals), who may prefer to fight over policy details instead of working on their respective (collective) political visions for Europe.
It's time for the other political forces – from left to right – to strengthen their European alliances ahead of the #EP2019 elections. This is not the time for petty fights – let's get some pretty visions of how Europe could look (and it doesn't have to be a "federation"). https://t.co/eGV7Loykcl
Italy’s Matteo Salvini calls for pan-European alliance of populists to fight a “Europe of the elites” in view of #EP2019 | here’s the recipe for greater politically polarization & nudge to pro-EU to federate https://t.co/xJ5KH3tUTv via @JamesPoliti
@agitpops@alemannoEU Sorry, my statement could indeed be read like this, but it's not what I meant. I meant that it's about the other movements (socialists, conservatives, liberals, greens) getting together among themselves (not: all together) and to formulate their visions for a future EU.
