"Every time I hear people say that Barcelona are obsessed with Real Madrid, someone from the Madrid side comes out with comments that prove the exact opposite.

I find it incredible that a person who openly dreams of becoming Real Madrid president can publicly say that he wants Barcelona relegated. That's not healthy rivalry. That's obsession. Rivalry should be about competing, about trying to be better than your opponent, not wishing for their downfall.

What surprises me even more is the timing. Real Madrid have just finished two seasons without winning the major trophies they expected, yet instead of talking about how to improve their own situation, some people are focused on Barcelona. At Barça, we've always preferred to answer on the pitch. That's where history is written and where reputations are earned.

The truth is that Barcelona remain a reference point. Madrid still haven't found consistent superiority against Barça, and they continue watching a project that keeps developing, producing talent and building for the future. That's why these comments appear. They don't come from confidence; they come from concern.

You only have to look at the Spanish national team. Barcelona continue providing a huge number of players because the club's philosophy, development and footballing ideas are working. That doesn't happen by accident. It happens through years of commitment to a model.

People are free to wish whatever they want for Barcelona. They can talk about relegation, crises or failure if it makes them feel better. But football has always been decided on the pitch, not in interviews, not on television and not through provocative statements. Barcelona will continue competing, continue fighting for titles and continue proving its value where it matters most: on the field."
