At the PwC forum last week, I watched AI predict that rain would hurt a Kisumu shopkeeper's sales, two days before it happened. It even paused itself and asked a human to approve the fix. That pause is the whole point: the machine can spot the pattern, but we still carry the responsibility. Full reflection on https://t.co/ApXmvjoyCK.

From the food on our plates to the power in our homes and the water in our taps, every single drop traces back to a living, flowing river.
When we protect our rivers, we protect our livelihoods, our food security, and our future.

The call is clear: climate action must be financed, inclusive, locally responsive and accountable.
As Kenyan youth, we are ready to shape decisions, drive solutions and help deliver implementation.
At LCOY Kenya 2026, young people across the country brought forward five priorities to shape climate action and Kenya’s engagement towards COP31. KIUESA was part of this deliberation.
The message: move from participation to influence, and from promises to implementation. 🧵1/n

Today, I had the opportunity to receive a courtesy call from Chairman Iwua Joseph Saiyalel Olepaat Munge, Chairman of the Olkeramatian Group Ranch.
Our discussions focused on the progress of the Nguruman Irrigation Scheme and follow-up on the visit of His Excellency the President, as well as the various Presidential directives aimed at addressing outstanding issues affecting the community and facilitating development in the area.
The Chairman also submitted preliminary designs for the proposed dam, which is envisaged to unlock approximately 25,000 acres for large-scale irrigation in the area. The dam will also play an important role in flood control, helping to address the recurring flooding that has affected communities and agricultural activities in the area.
The proposed investment presents a significant opportunity to expand agricultural production, enhance food security, create employment and improve livelihoods, while making productive use of the area's irrigation potential.
The State Department for Irrigation remains committed to working closely with the community, Kajiado County Government and other stakeholders to ensure that the Presidential directives are followed through and that the Nguruman Irrigation Scheme and related investments deliver tangible and sustainable benefits to the people of the area.
