@JamesRaxz@VLS_Appreciator Given the proliferation of cheap, “good enough” ASBMs (Iran/Houthis, probably DPRK, China at the high end) I don’t know how anything smaller than an AAW destroyer with a big radar and a deep magazine of high performance interceptors can operate independently.
@fredsoda Hold a car dealership franchise agreement or own a company in the construction industry. Seriously. Who do you think fills up Americas golf clubs? Lawyers and consultants?
@TheMindScourge An interesting problem that the Allies had near the end of the war was having a shortage of infantry at the front, lots of guys doing U Boat hunting or air defense (now unneeded) and no politically palatable way to force them into the infantry
@TruueDiscipline lol, exact same thing happened in my high school. No way were the Indian and Chinese parents going to let their boys smash their heads together.
@Dawidaltexian@heatloss1986 Thanks for the overview. Copious listening to Not A Pound For Air To Ground has really driven home for me how bad missiles could be (outside very narrow parameters) until fairly late into the Cold War.
@ReubenR80027912@favelaoverlord Valid in relation to extreme events, but dollar arbitrage in 2026 is quite different to 2008. US $ salaries are so high now Americans are going to quite nice and stable EU/EA countries. Even China and Thailand are way less of a legal Wild West than they were in say 2012.
@heatloss1986 Were a lot of the 23s in PACT and Soviet service similarly gimped? I don’t mean deliberately, just that the Soviet electronics industry seemed to lag behind their ability to produce airframes.
@heatloss1986 Would Floggers have done well? So many of them came from the factory provisioned for dogshit missiles with awful radars. I thought they didn’t get dangerous until way later when they get R-73? How were their BVR missiles (IIRC R-23)?
@Brien_Jackson A lot of physical ailments which you would think get you a high rating do not but things that effect sleep and your personal life do, so everyone I knoe is getting sleep studies and a doctors note saying they can’t get hard.
Like actual back injuries *might* get 60%.
@bigseb31213 You can get really good medicine right away but its kind of hit or miss and doesn’t always track with the cost or quality of the hospital.
Of course in the old days you could just get ephedrine OTC at pharmacies which clears a lot of common ailments right up!
@BaldingsWorld Yeah but recruiters in the field just scrape LinkedIn and clearance jobs for people who list their clearances. If you don’t list your clearance you don’t get replies back 🤷♂️
@ReubenR80027912 My first gf was a divorced woman and we basically locked ourselves in hotel rooms for weeks when we first met. But she was 37. I think it would have been a bIt different if she were 47.
I don’t want to reduce desire to merely a T level but clearly hormones are important.
@ReubenR80027912@Stefan_pavlovc You can be perfectly healthy and have low T from aging.
I did big cuts when I was younger and after weeks calorie restriction you just sort of forget what sex is and then as soon as you have a giant burger and a full night of sleep your inner monologue is just “SEX SEX SEX”
