Jundub ibn ’Abdullah رضي الله عنه said:

“We learned faith (Iman) before we learned the Qur’an.”

— Sunan Ibn Majah

The Companions رضي الله عنهم first learned the correct Iman and Aqeedah from Rasulullah ﷺ, then they learned the Qur'an, and the Qur'an increased them in faith.

Deobandi fatwa against Durood al-Taj by Habib Abu Bakr ibn Salim of Yemen:
