I remember in 2015 I cast my vote in Rajya Sabha. Our party did not have a candidate but the ruling alliance requested us to have an agent of their choice. The said person was a non MLA and checked my vote and that of my colleague and fellow MLA @bashirdaradv

It seems highly improbable that PDP or NC did not know the rules.
Appointment of agents is the most important step in these elections.

The rules are clear as enunciated by @umerjournalist in a tweet. There is no ambiguity. And a party can appoint an agent, whether the party fields a candidate or not. The only time when you can’t appoint agent is when the party does not want to appoint an agent.

That NC did not insist on appointment of agents and PDP simply did not appoint agents hints at a much bigger spread in match fixing.

The RTI by @umerjournalist strongly indicates that at least three parties BJP, NC and PDP, were a part of the Rajya Sabha match fixing. And that BJP could
not have won the Rajya Sabha seat without the support of NC and PDP.

Good luck to the people of Kashmir. Unfortunately the joke is on them.

It is a matter of immense pride to share that GMC Handwara has been granted accreditation for 10 additional DNB/Diploma seats, taking our total sanctioned capacity to 34 seats.

GMC Handwara has become the first medical college in J&K to secure accreditation in Emergency Medicine with 4 seats — a distinction previously held only by SKIMS, which has 2 seats in this specialty.*

This achievement marks a significant milestone in strengthening postgraduate medical training in the UT and further enhancing the academic profile of GMC Handwara.

Inshallah. In a couple of years this institution will evolve and there will hardly be a patient who would be referred to Srinagar. That is the ultimate objective.

Axis of the evil. NC and BJP.

Thank God I abstained. Imagine what my plight would have been.

Now mathematically proved. That it was a fixed match.

Why did NC poll extra votes for candidate 3. They didn’t need to. They polled 31 votes for candidate 3. Only 29 votes would have sufficed. Even 28. Because BJp was fighting for seat 4.

Who cross voted. Whose votes were rejected. And who was hand in glove.

What I love about @sajadlone is that he speaks like an ethnic Kashmiri-raw, rooted, unapologetic. In a political culture full of rehearsed lines, some deliver with such a bad accent that it feels staged.

I am pained at the death of four people in Ladakh. May they rest in peace.

Having said that. Time to call a spade a spade.

I have to say that the Kashmiri people were reviled and slandered by the people of Ladakh for 70 years. I was the happiest when they were separated from us and a UT was carved for them. I was more happy for us than them.

A very very senior leader who I respect a lot and was jailed with me in SKICC in 2019 will bear testimony; I told him in jail in 2019.

I am happy. I told him. They would take away our jobs in the name of reservation. They would humiliate us. They would not allow our transporters or businessmen to work in Ladakh.. They had Hill Council. We as J and K had literally no control over them. We would cede jobs to them in the name of reservation. Disproportionate funding. Tiny Assembly seats. And an even tiny Parliament seat. 4 Assembly seats and a Parliament seat for a tiny population. ST caste status for the whole region.

Yet they were the perpetual cry babies. Blaming Kashmiris for anything and everything. And on top of that they would always be the proverbial stick which Delhi used to beat us with.

In the last 7 decades, They in collusion with Delhi manufactured a paranoia against the Kashmiris. They painted the Kashmiris as evil. Their cultural concerns were nothing but naked communalism against the Kashmiris. They suffered from civilisational inferiority complex and teamed up with Delhi to inflict punishment upon ordinary Kashmiris.

They being a part of us was extortionate and pricey. Why did we ever have them with us? What did we get apart from slander, loss of jobs, a massive hole in the budget to fund heavily subsidised Ladakh region.

What they are going through is buyers remorse a feeling of regret experienced after making a purchase, typically one regarded as unnecessary or extravagant.

This is Karma. And a Karmic omen for the people of Jammu. Mark my words. Minus Kashmir you will meet the same fate. All your pampering is because of Kashmir.

And for the two Kings’ parties in Kashmir and their leaders who are running like headless chicken issuing statements. For heavens sake. At least for once stand up for the people of Kashmir. At least pretend even if you don’t mean it.

Doctors at GMC Handwara Save Patient from Eye and Brain Compression

Doctors at the Department of ENT, GMC Handwara, have successfully treated a rare and challenging case of a large frontoethmoidal mucocele that had eroded the skull base and extended to compress the eye and brain.

The condition was managed through an advanced endoscopic Draf III procedure, a highly technical surgery performed in close proximity to the skull base and orbit, where even the slightest error can result in serious complications.

The achievement underscores GMC Handwara’s capability to perform complex, minimally invasive surgeries at par with advanced medical centers. The Department expressed gratitude to the anesthesia team and the dedicated OT staff for their crucial role in ensuring the success of the procedure.
