@longbored No, it’s not! Great question, though. The Cuckoo card has historically depicted a crescent moon on it for a long time but as far as I know, there’s no gameplay significance to it.

@longbored You’ll want more cards in your hand (and maybe the field too!⃝) at the start. Or else you’ll end up with too many unplayed cards. 1⃝ Bamboo is “Earth” (13th month) and 2⃝ Lotus is “Heaven” (14th month). So if you’re playing with round bonuses (wow!), you should play 14 rounds!

@longbored You can “Koi-Koi” more than once! It’s risky, though. And yeah, the winning player gets an extra point for every “Koi-Koi,” even when their opponent said it.
