@cullend@RealTimeWWII The book “Aftermath” by Harald Jähner discusses it briefly, along with lots of interesting things about post-war Germany.
In short, some shock. Some denial. Some were also just too focused on their own suffering. Fascinating book.
I fully acknowledge that on a free-to-use platform I am the product, not the consumer. But, disabling third-party clients has been a huge dampener to me using this service. A real kick in the convenience pants.
@rands - Look at the Discover Weekly of others
- Start new Spotify radio stations based off of songs I like
- Daily/Genre Mixes, then deep-click through songs to find associated stuff
- I asked for the "Your Top Songs" lists from anybody who would share, so I could find more stuff.
@johndilworth I make new playlists for my wife on a routine basis, filled with new music, and limited to a certain length as if it I were burning her a new CD. And custom artwork.
@cabel My wife and I noticed this name change the other day (we live in UT) and were so confused. "Wait - has it always been Juantonio's, and we just _thought_ it said Juanita's?"
Mystery explained. Thank you so much.
Unless there’s something like Tweetbot or Twitterrific over there, I don’t know how I’d really get into it. Though at some point, if enough of you leave, I won’t have anything to read here anyway.
It’s not like you’re here to read what I have to say.
@johndilworth Some of the more free-form comic book approaches might be interesting. Nature in general provides lots of interesting examples, when thinking of in relation to presenting information.
@driscollis@__mharrison__ (Un?)fortunately, you can see how many followers I have experience with, so I can't speak to Twitter interactions. Bots and spammy accounts are what they are.
@__mharrison__ But when you're the product (like in your case), it's a fine line to walk between engaging with people and not being too dismissive of your consumers.
@__mharrison__ Honestly, I don't know. You comment on it somewhat regularly - whether in these one-off tweets, or your repeated "Twitter DMs" thread. On Slack it's interesting, since people are effectively letting 10-20K other people know they're saying "Hi/Hello" and nothing more.
