Today, more than 4000 Congolese from all States came to Washington DC to denounce the targeted violence, the blockade, the human rights abuse and an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Minembwe against the banyamulenge community. Over the last several months the Congolese army and the Burundian Army have decided to wipe out the Banyamulenge from the DRC map using every means possible including starving them to death. This is unacceptable in the 21st century. It is for situations like these that the UN charter was created in 1945. The international community should not sit idle while an entire community is being extinct due to thier ethnicity. Silence and inaction are irresponsibility. Enough is Enough

The cattle that survived the systematic slaughter and looting carried out by the Wazalendo militias, the Burundian armed forces, and FARDC units are finally returning to Bwegera.

This comes after the AFC–M23–Twirwaneho rebellion captured this strategic town in the Uvira territory, restoring security and allowing the dispersed livestock to be gathered once again.

Les mécanismes de vérification du cessez-le-feu doivent avoir la capacité d'enquêter sur les allégations de violations des droits de l'homme par les forces impliquées, y compris les armées nationales.
La solidarité avec le peuple congolais doit se traduire par une pression internationale maximale pour que le régime de Kinshasa et le Burundi fassent face à leurs responsabilités historiques et juridiques.
