Our first site at Kalkkimaa quarry in Tornio features two-billion-year-old dolomite and quartz schist layers folded against a reverse fault. We captured a #GigaPan and photogrammetry imagery with the #MavicAir #drone to create a #VirtualReality model. #geodigiexpedition2019

Sadly we had no luck finding the #stromatolite in Syltefjorden, but fortunately we got some nice structures captured with #GigaPan. As the sun never sets we enjoy the views of the northeastern Norway around the clock! #geodigiexpedition2019

The #sandur in #Lyngsdalen with 3 glacier fronts was the last spot on our expedition. 4k video and #gigapan 360 panoramas were aquired at the magnificent outwash plane. We aim to provide #openaccess #virtualreality environments from all visited sites! #geodigiexpedition2019

Lovely walk to #Steindalen #Glacier where we captured different moraines, the #outwashplane and the glacier front that are analogues to #sedimentary environments we can find also in #Finland. The #topography is evidently different though 😄 #geodigiexpedition2019
