I like all types of games and make videos about them. Main favs ❤ Trails/Kiseki, FF7, Persona, AC, Remedyverse
Sometimes I shout my opinions to the X void.
Also, new name! I felt like it was time to change from "Rioichi" to my real name "Jussi". Nothing else is changing, still gonna talk about games whenever something catches my interest.

@PaulTassi As people mostly log it based on achievements, it really isn't. Took me about 35hours (plus 1-2h of idle) to do everything. Including doing every world feat & FBC task, high scores at all but 1 Shum cabinets and I got like 95% of all documents which I read/watched all of them.
I'm really happy that people are enjoying the Trails remakes and they've obviously been great for Falcom both financially and devs getting a break.
They're just not for me which is a shame. I just want to spend my time gaming with new experiences.
Im glad someone shares my opinion on this. I love Trails but the remake was quite boring for me as I hate replaying games (especially long RPGs) and a 1:1 remake just feels like the same game with new coat of paint.
I love FF7R because it lets me reexperience FF7 in a new way.
The Sky remakes are getting brought up a lot as an example of a faithful nearly 1:1 remake done right. I do think those remakes are good, but for me they suffer from the exact problem that made me not want a 1:1 FF7 remake. I don't want to play the same game I already played.
Remedy Entertainment is on an absolute roll.
2019 - Control
2020 - Control: Ultimate Edition
2023 - Alan Wake 2
2024 - Alan Wake 2: Night Springs, The Lake House
2026 - CONTROL Resonant
TBA - Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake
It's great to see hype around Trails but this is incorrect. 1st Chapter had region separated release with CH/KR version hitting 14k peak, JP/EN 4k. 2nd Chapter is a combined release so it's little down but still decent number and could rise during the weekend.
Holy smokes! GUYS! Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter was Falcoms best selling game ever, hitting a 4K+ peak on the Sunday after release, which was unheard of for the series. Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter has 11K+ on a weekday! On sunday it may pass all Trails games combined!
WTF? First of all it's "Nihon Falcom". Second, "Kiseki(軌跡)" means "Trails" not "Miracle". And this list based on western release dates... Why is Sky FC Evo there? Why is Daybreak 2 marked twice (JP & ENG)? And not even diehard Trails fans play the garbage mobile game.
Nihon Falcon's Trails fantasy RPG series started in 2004 with Sora no Kiseki (Wonder in the Sky), localized as Trails in the Sky -- and the rest is history.

Finished Plague Tale Resonance in basically one sitting. I was hooked. Some great Uncharted vibes with puzzles, combat/stealth is solid and it utilizes mythology and expands the universe in a very cool way. Overall as amazing as Requiem while being very different. GJ @APlagueTale
This is interesting. Assuming that this is gonna be First Soldier storyline from Ever Crisis and Vincent backstory including the flashbacks from Dirge.... I'm not sure if I like them doing prequel DLC after the trilogy is finished.
I want an actual Dirge of Cerberus remake!
Following the announcement of FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION, we received many requests from fans and media for DLC, and decided to make it happen.
Rather than announcing it after launch, we wanted to share our plans before the release of the main game.
We’ll be telling the stories of Sephiroth and Vincent in greater depth. We hope you’re looking forward to it!

After months of getting shit from everybody PlayStation decides to start their State of Play with a..... movie trailer?!? I didn't think they could get anymore tonedeaf. You are a video game company!
Don't get me wrong, I'm very excited to play Zero Company BUT some of these things listed are what makes X-Com/tactics games fun. The unpredictability, managing resources, the game fighting against you, devastating consequences... Friction in games is so important!
People are worried Star Wars Zero Company will be as frustrating as Xcom...
It's not and here's why:
1. You don't get random injuries by taking damage any more.
2. Injuries don't stop your operatives from going on missions.
3. You don't need to waste an action reloading or escaping any more.
4. You don't miss upclose any more.
5. If you miss, you destroy enemies cover, making them easier to hit on follow up.
6. Action points and turns can be taken in any order to maximise combos.
7. A shared resource called advantage lets you get off powerful abilities.
8. An operative needs to get 3 injuries to die permanently, and you can turn that mode off.
9. If you want a challenge, you can play Expert and Beska mode (ironman).
I've liked every GTA I've played but are any of them part of my favorite games? Not even close. People enjoy different stuff and I would be lying if I said I wasn't more excited to play games like Control Resonant, Blood of the Dawnwalker and Trails in the Sky than GTA this fall.
Watched the GTA VI showcase and I'm so happy it did nothing for me. It looks like more GTA with a new coat of paint. Don't get me wrong, it looks technically impressive and I'll play it when it comes to PC but acting like it should be the greatest game for everyone is bit crazy.
When the Worms Tactics and Rainbow 6 Tactics were the best announcements of Gamescom you know it wasn't the best showcase.
Lots of good games but I'm already sold on them. Like how many Control Resonant trailers do we need?
NO LAW looks promising but I'm not getting my hopes up
Obviously biased but I've always loved how Remedy includes finnish things in their games in clever ways. Mixing up Finnish folk music with more electronic beats fits so well in the weirdness of Control. Great idea
I am also hoping for another banger from Martti Suosalo/Ahti.
Manalan Mailla by Finnish ethno-pop artist Vilma Jää is out wherever you find music. Inspired by the Ingrian ensemble runolaulu tradition, you first heard it in our Paranatural Manhattan trailer!
Enjoy Zoe's Mixtape! #CONTROLResonant
Revelation looks absolutely incredible, I can't wait to see how this wraps up. Recasting Sephiroth hurts a bit as Tyler was really good at the role but Travis is definitely someone who can hit the same vibe.
And they are adding a job system out of nowhere? That is so cool.
"Long story short, the world's in trouble, and has been for a while."
Take your first look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation, launching simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Epic Games Store and Steam in Spring 2027.
I'm sure IO will get to develop the sequel to First Light with AGS publishing. Which will suck for IO's internal publishing team which probably will get shrunk down to only handle Hitman going forward. But I'm not gonna be dooming about the future of 007 games until we know more.
I'm glad they clarified even though it's still full corpo-speak but I'm shocked how many people read into the original quote (which was poorly worded but still) thinking that IOI was out. It was always about publishing and not development.
Amazon Game Studios issues statement on the Bond games:
"Amazon MGM holds the rights to any future James Bond video games but it’s still too early to discuss future projects
"We have a great relationship with IO Interactive and are proud of what we’ve accomplished together on 007 First Light. Our partners at IO will reveal more about 007 First Light in the near future and we’re looking forward to sharing what’s next.”

After beating 007 First Light (great game, deeper thoughts in video form next week), I've been just binging Bond movies and even having seen some of them like 20times, I still love them so much... BUT WHAT ARE THESE NEW "POSTERS" THEY USE!? WHO IS THIS MAN!? WHO APPROVED THESE!?
I was confused for a moment how they got this weird set of TV & movies (Fast & Furious, Miami Vice, Knight Rider, Death Race, Back to the Future) but they all Universal Pictures IP so that makes more sense.
I can't believe we are getting a new Stuntman game. With real IP!
I know it's crazy but that was my favorite reveal from the State of Play, by far. I have such fun memories of the old ones. And when that Knight Rider theme hit... chills.
