Hey Rob. It's cool you claim to care about constitutional rights.
Remember when we sent you a letter two years ago informing you numerous departments including LASD were taking over a year to issue CCW permits, in violation of California law?
You ignored us, so we had to sue. Now the Trump admin is suing too.
But it's not too late. Several other counties and cities also take way too long to process applications. LAPD, Alameda, Contra Costa, and others.
You should enforce the 120 day time limit of Cal. Penal Code § 26205 against every issuing authority that is violating it. Prove you don't need Trump to clean up your mess for you.
In addition, you could:
1. Support AB 1092, which would make CCW permits valid for 4 years instead of just 2. That would reduce workload on departments.
2. Also take action against Departments charging too much for permits. We had to sue Santa Clara last week for their $2000 in total expense. Why have you done nothing? Imagine if it cost $2000 to register to vote. Would you care then?
But who am I kidding. You won't do anything lest it make your boss Newsom angry.
Two different committee analyses were posted for two of the three California gun bills I have been tracking. Two of the bills totally suck, the third partially sucks.
AB 1127 - The Glock/Glock clone sales ban. So far it is sailing through the legislature, so we'll see if Newsom will indeed ban the sale of the most popular handguns in America (also Kamala's gun!) after pretending to be totally pro-2A on Shawn Ryan's podcast.
AB 1078 - Makes the one gun per month law that got struck down in Nguyen v. Bonta a three gun per month law. In better news, it essentially codifies our preliminary injunction from CRPA v. LASD as to nonresident carry, and so if it takes effect as written residents of other states will be able to apply for California CCW permits without needing to be members of the associational plaintiffs. Also, this bill would make it so that if you had a restraining order issued against you without notice and an opportunity to be heard (as often happens in TROs and emergency protective orders), and that order subsequently ended or was dissolved, you don't have the five year carry ban that is currently in effect. (This was another sub-issue in CRPA v. LASD they seem to be trying to moot out).
The two analyses were for the appropriations committee though, so they don't say anything that interesting besides that DOJ doesn't have the money to do any of this stuff, even though they claim the implementation won't be that expensive. So California, which has a busted budget and is about to waste even more on a special election, wants to pass even more pointless gun control.
Oh and it says 1127 is sponsored by Everytown, which pretends to be moderate in red states but in California is trying to ban the most common handguns in the country.
Nothing on the third bill I am tracking (SB 704 - barrel background checks) for now.
Before 2024, you didn’t call for them even ONCE. I checked.
You know who YOU should call out? The man you WORKED with who is CURRENTLY active on tiktok and has trafficked young boys. Are you still his emergency contact? You didn’t say a word about him till I released my report on the matter. Weird
It was too depressing to write this last night, after we got off air, so I went to bed. But, it needs to be said by more Democrats: this was not an impeachable offense, and Trump did not need congressional approval for one precision attack under the circumstances, just as Obama did not when striking Bin Laden. Why can’t our Party just say it’s great we achieved the objective and destroyed Iran’s nuclear sites, god bless the soldiers who carried this out and made it home safely, god bless our country, military, allies, and we look forward to a full intel briefing. 🇺🇸. If one must then assert Congressional authority at the moment, add that any escalation will require congressional approval. And if you must, express concern for where this may go and what might come next.
But, for so many in my Party to knee jerk with unhinged calls for impeachment - and sadly omit in their statement support for Iran not having nuclear weapons, which has been a principle of our Party for 40 years -is truly TDS.
Hate to admit it, but he has a point.
If you simply just ignore the assassination attempt on Trump, the other assassination attempt on Trump, the shooting at the GOP baseball game, the crazed leftwinger who tried to kill Governor Shapiro, the guy who tried to kill Kavanaugh, the widespread glorification of Luigi Mangione, all the nutcases setting Tesla stores on fire, the guy who firebombed Jews, and all the violent rioters...
...then this really isn't a "both sides" issue and you can just blame all political violence on the right and Trump. Simple.

A lot of the people at the "No Kings" protests tomorrow, maybe most, support strict gun control. At the same time, they argue Trump is acting like a king, dictator, fascist, etc.
Meanwhile, the Trump Administration is trying to protect their rights by arguing in federal court that bans on common rifles are unconstitutional.
The irony is thick.
If you claim to oppose "authoriarianism" but support strict gun control, then really, you just don't like that Republicans are in power, but otherwise love big and overbearing government.
Yes. The warnings “leave or you’ll be arrested, exit the area by *insert egress routes*” is not a suggestion. Getting boxed in like this is 100% your own fault.
Broke: Encouraging violence in 2020 BLM riots
Woke: Financing violence in 2025 anti-ICE riots and gaslighting us into thinking you didn’t condone it
The literal SEIU (government union) president got arrested. CHIRLA is largely taxpayer funded. Everything you say is a lie when you’re supporting these organizations on Californians’ taxpayer money.
Your era of gaslighting is over. You will not succeed.
@GavinNewsom@realDonaldTrump So you’re telling us to all stop paying federal taxes?
Because if you’re talking about holding federal tax dollars hostage, we sure as hell aren’t going to give those funds to the state of California.
Taxation is theft asshole - no matter who is doing it.
