Honored to join the Tysons chapter of @MomsDemand today for their #WearOrange event, honoring lives lost to gun violence and supporting survivors.
Thank you to the organizers and advocates working every day to build safer communities.
🧡 #EndGunViolence
Stopped by the @MomsDemand event with @JennMcClellanVA this afternoon! In the Commonwealth we are taking gun violence prevention seriously. It was nice to be able to celebrate legislative victories from this past session!
Today marks the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. Today, we honor the brave American servicemembers, so many of them Virginians, who stormed the beaches of Normandy. These heroes ran toward danger to liberate Europe and defend our nation’s values — altering the course of history. We continue to carry with us their memory, their sacrifice, and their commitment to freedom.
I will always stand with Moms Demand Action Alexandria to push for common-sense gun violence prevention legislation to protect our families and our communities
National Gun Violence Awareness Day is a reminder that every day, we lose far too many lives to the gun violence epidemic.
The best way to honor those we’ve lost is by enacting policies to end this senseless violence and save lives.
Today, I’m wearing orange for #NationalGunViolenceAwarenessDay.
Virginia has made real progress on gun safety, but our work isn’t finished. Together, we can continue building safer communities and preventing gun violence. #WearOrange
On National Gun Violence Awareness Day, we honor the victims whose lives were taken too soon—and recommit ourselves to sensible gun safety laws in Virginia to prevent further tragedies. #WearOrange

Gun violence has touched too many families, schools, and communities across our country.
On #GunViolenceAwarenessDay, we remember those we've lost, stand with survivors, and recommit ourselves to finding common ground on solutions that save lives and keep our communities safe.
Bobby Zirkin, who represented Baltimore County in the General Assembly for 21 years as a Democratic state senator and delegate, writes that "criticism of Israeli governments is not antisemitic. But anti-Zionism is not merely criticism. It is opposition to the existence of a Jewish state."
Zirkin opines that "when an ideology seeks to deny only the Jewish people the right of national self-determination while accepting that right for everyone else, it ceases to be a neutral position. It becomes discrimination."

We #wearorange for all of those impacted by gun violence. More than 100 people a day die by firearms in the U.S., hundreds more are shot, and countless others are forever changed.
Join Brady and be part of the solution to #EndGunViolence.
Families in every corner of the Commonwealth experience the daily devastation of gun violence, and it must end. Beginning July 1, this office will have the authority to hold the firearm industry accountable for the violence they are fueling.
I am proud to be the Governor who says ‘yes’ to commonsense legislation that keeps Virginians safe — from improving safe gun storage to keeping ghost guns off our streets.
As a former federal law enforcement officer, I understand the importance of keeping our communities safe through commonsense gun safety legislation. I will continue to protect communities across the Commonwealth.

Today, we are reminded of the family, friends, and loved ones who were victims of gun violence. The month of June serves as Gun Violence Awareness month, and we ask you to #WearOrange today to spread awareness in your community.
No one should live in fear of a partner with a gun.
I was proud to co-patron @EBPforVA's HB93, which @GovernorVA Spanberger signed into law, preventing gun purchases by perpetrators of domestic violence.
Today I #WearOrange to honor those lost while fighting to prevent more.

Tomorrow marks 82 years since Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy, France.
We honor and remember all those who so bravely fought for freedom against Nazi tyranny and forever changed the course of history.
Why do we #WearOrange this weekend?
🔸 For the 42,000+ people killed every year.
🔸 For the 117 lives stolen each day.
🔸 For the 23 children and teens shot each day.
We remember them. We fight for them. We invite you to join us in wearing orange for them. 🧡
As a parent, I believe every child deserves to feel safe at school, at the park, and in their community.
Yet firearms are the leading cause of death for children and teens in the U.S. Today, we remember those we’ve lost, honor survivors, and recommit to the work of preventing gun violence.
