@thebrettjames1 Brett, come on a journey with me to 1990, where teams kept their stars even after a difficult playoff loss. Where Jordan lost to the Pistons 3 years in a row. Where patience and team growth were paramount to quick fixes. Where you could sustain dynasties. This is our utopia.
jordan did not deserve to win 9 all nba defensive first teams.
i dont doubt he was a great defender, but i highly doubt he was a top 5 defender for 9 years
NBA fans always debate the GOAT.
Let’s debate something harder:
Who’s the greatest role player in NBA history?
Robert Horry
Dennis Rodman
OG Anunoby
Manu Ginóbili
I feel like Heat fans /media on this app are trapped in a never ending narrative circle they can’t escape and keep trying to pull other fanbases into it. Guys, you are the ones that want to give up all your assets for a 31year old. Have at it. Leave us alone.
A few weeks ago it was the Celtics. Then the Cavs. Then the Magic. And now it’s Portland.
Every week there’s a new Giannis suitor that appears and while that happens the Heat remain the favorite to get him.
I think even us old people who cling to our nostalgia are pretty universally gonna say James here. Bird was amazing but he really did only have nine really good non injury years where he could move. By the time he hit his head on the floor against the knicks it was over.
I’m willing to look foolish but I think people will be surprised by how easily the Knicks beat the Spurs. I’m going Knicks in 5.
I’m on an island here but I think the Knicks are severely underrated and the clear better team. Unlike the Thunder, the Knicks can win the Wemby minutes so the Spurs margin for error is much lower than it was against OKC.
The Cavaliers contemplated a Darius Garland for Jrue Holiday swap before ultimately trading for James Harden, per @ChrisFedor
They ultimately determined he wasn’t enough of a reliable offensive engine
