BREAKING: Iran calculated $9 billion in profits from market manipulation by "individuals close to Trump," mainly Kushner and Witkoff, and formally requested $4.5 billion of that sum be allocated to Iran through intermediaries, adding that "the exchanged texts will ultimately become part of the historical record," a senior Iranian official tells Drop Site.

Iran sent a private message to Vance during the Switzerland talks warning that Kushner and Witkoff were "abusing" the negotiations, "more interested in exploiting insider knowledge to profit in financial markets than reaching a deal."

Iran also expressed concern about repeated leaks from Kushner to Netanyahu, since Witkoff and Kushner “talk almost every day to Netanyahu” and the head of Mossad.

@henrywinter Winning begets winning. I have no idea how the club expected to improve the culture whilst allowing Amorim to lose, often in embarrassing fashion, week in, week out. It doesn't increase player confidence in their own ability. It's like knocking down a house to add a nice toilet.

@AdamCrafton_ Amorim has a habit of throwing players under the bus when things have gotten tough. Was originally seen as a strength. Seems bizarre to blame a team largely composed of new signings + kids of downing tools. And Onana didn't down tools, he just isn't good enough.

I’m going to bring this up on the podcast so I can talk about it further but I think we’re definitely in an era where managers/coaches are almost favouring a style of play over the actual performances of their teams so they can elevate their coaching ‘profile’ and get better jobs

The issue isn't putting a foot in. It's a structural failure caused by the manager's set up which requires an insane amount of tackles to be able to work.

As we approach the final league game of the season, Manchester United of 2023/2024 have had:

• 1.34 xG (13th)
• 1.87 xGA (18th)
• -0.53 xG difference (17th)
• 40 open play goals (10th)
• 392 open play shots created (9th)
• 643 shots faced (19th)
• 200 set pieces shots faced (20th)
• 49.99% possession (10th)

Based on every conceivable team metric, it has been an unmitigated disaster. Our creation was subpar and our defense literally relegation-level.

Due to box defending skills of players like Varane, Dalot, Maguire & Onana, we somehow survived being one of the 3 worst teams in shots & xGA faced.

The fact only 58 goals were conceded (joint 6th), with so many shots and chances faced, speaks volumes about their individual quality.

You can cite weak mentality & injuries as ETH often does, but our defenders actually outperformed what was given to them, in terms of our game model.
