I would much rather sit through a single pre-roll ad than have at least 1:30 of ads every half hour.
Mid-roll ads are a much worse viewing experience and, if you run them, I'm likely not sticking around to keep watching when that ad starts in the middle of me chatting with you
Friendly reminder for Twitch viewers 🖤
Please do not make a streamer feel bad about running ads. Comments like:
“DAMN so many ads.”
“UGH hold on ads.”
“OMG how many ads?”
can make things awkward for the streamer, especially when ads help support the stream.
A more respectful way to say it could be:
• “Hold on, I am in ads.”
• “BRB, ads.”
• “Okay, I am back from ads.”
Some people mentioned bitrate issues already, but I'll go a bit further and recommend a VERY good OBS plugin to solve this sort of problem.
The plugin basically lets you set up "priority zones" for your encoder and tells it "hey, if you need to make things a bit mushy, do it to this area LAST." It's a fantastic plugin as long as it's set up in a decent way

How cool would it be to make a massive list or website of streamers who've never viewbotted to send to brands & companies who are looking for real & genuine communites. 😪

Look I'm all for competition in the software space, but trying to hype people up for 2 weeks just to release a generative AI tool that:
1. Eliminates work a real code-based overlay developer/creator could've done
2. Costs $20 (or $60!!!) a month for likely superior models and generation
... all while your software still doesn't have stinger transition support? Not a great look in my opinion, and I think the replies reflect that.
I can't remember if I read that you had tried this already, but is it possible the camera source could be the issue? Has it crashed if you just used the camera source with no filters on it? Or maybe try with no camera at all (not ideal obviously) to try and narrow down the potential causes?
Way back when the NVIDIA filters were just released, the background blur really messed with my stuff, but I figured that would've been fixed by now.
