The oil companies were never going to manage their own decline. You can't transition out of something by growing production. They should never have been allowed in the standard setting rooms. It has caused us a lot of time which has meant more people have lost lives and livelihoods from lethal heat, floods and fires. ‘Net zero’ emissions standard paused as Shell quits https://t.co/rODTnlJkxa via @ft
@AnitaAnandMP Words mean nothing. We have allowed the Palestinians to be tortured, starved, humiliated and murdered. Our governments have made us complicit. Canada and the world need to take action to end the genocide and then help with the rebuilding & healing of a #FreePalestine

Smith thinks that @JustinTrudeau has a vendetta against Alberta, I think she’s forgetting how the federal government has propped up her O&G industry with billions of taxpayer dollars.
Canada is more than fossil fuels & the faster we realise that the better for all
#pollutioncap
@ABDanielleSmith It goes without saying you are completely against the cap on oil and gas. As climate change is a know FACT this cap MUST BE on ALL polluting industries but we all know that technology already exsists to curb pollution so effects on oil and gas will be minimal. Work with the Feds
It is time for oil and gas industries to finally reduce their pollution: Canada’s release of cap on Oil and Gas Pollution Sets a Standard for Other Countries to Follow https://t.co/YwpmhSHcDN via @envirodefence#Cdnpoli#climate
Hear comes the fear mongering. And objection of lies on the impact of the pollution Cap Draft Plan. Cry away @ABDanielleSmith the rest of Canada says Alberta is wrong.
The Government of Alberta is spending millions to protect Big Oil by lying to the public with their "#ScraptheCap" campaign. Enough. It's time to #CaptheCrap and protect Canadians. #ABpoli https://t.co/pYqH7GEUxf
lots of congestion and delayed 510 buses, stuck behind single-occupancy cars at bloor and spadina.
spadina doesn't have any bike lanes, only traffic lanes.
meanwhile on bloor street, cyclists whizz by.
it's clear - bike lanes don't cause congestion. cars do, they always do.
BREAKING: This is FAR faster and ham-fisted than even I would have imagined! Spending a LOT of public money and disrupting traffic in order to weaken Toronto, hurt small business, endanger lives, make traffic worse, remove choice, increase emissions & increase public costs!
So, when cyclists die on these roads, who do we blame? My 15YO uses bike lanes on Yonge all the time. And now - in 2024 - when most progressive cities are prioritizing walking and biking, we are going backwards.

@TheRealMadOx@EdKrassen She wanted to stay in those countries not to start a war but to aid in the aftermath of conflicts that America played majors role in. There is a duty of care that America (& other western nations) need to understand when deciding to enter other countries.
