Learning about the art history behind abstract art and it’s motives allowed me to appreciate simple pieces like these. Only few movements have a pompous and meaningless motive, aside from those, abstract art is still art. The reaction it creates could be the art itself.

°I can proudly say I’m able to draw a body more or less decently now! I really enjoyed my time mastering and learning figure drawing! I’ve made a lot of progress and have found new technique I hope translate into future work I do.

°Another animal study/Commission I worked on this month. It’s all on charcoal and I tried a new method with this one. Instead of smudging the charcoal I used a dry paintbrush for the values and it definitely helped create softer and more defined textures.
