Dear Mr. Hanlon, Ms. O’Brien, and Ms. Clancy,

I am writing to bring to your attention the attached correspondence we have sent to you over the last few weeks regarding SuperValu’s partnership with Belong To.

• On 15 July 2026, we emailed SuperValu Management to express our concerns about this partnership.
• On 18 July 2026, following an assembly at SuperValu in Malahide, we sent a further email outlining issues raised during that engagement.
• On 25 July 2026, we wrote again to convey our disappointment at having received no response to date.

We also understand that numerous members of the public have contacted SuperValu about this matter without receiving any acknowledgment or reply.

We will be hosting a number of assemblies across SuperValu stores nationwide to continue respectful, constructive conversations with customers and store teams. At these assemblies, we will hold cards with our key concerns, speak with management, listen to customers, and provide information leaflets. This is, fundamentally, a brand issue for Musgrave and SuperValu: during our recent engagement, many customers were keen to discuss the matter and expressed shock at SuperValu’s partnership with an NGO that, in our view, is disregarding medical best practice and promoting highly controversial and unsafe information for children that does not align with robust child safeguarding standards.

Your customers believe in your brand slogans “Real Food, Real People” “Full of Good, Free From Bad” - and your partnerships should also reflect this.

For your review, the emails referenced above include sample materials from Belong To’s education resources. We believe these materials raise serious safeguarding questions and merit urgent consideration at senior level.

We respectfully urge you to:

• Reconsider SuperValu’s partnership with Belong To in light of these concerns.
• Acknowledge and engage with the significant public feedback that has been submitted.
• Prioritize child safeguarding as the paramount standard guiding brand partnerships and community initiatives.

Please confirm receipt of this letter and the attached correspondence, and advise when we can expect a substantive response. We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you or your representatives to further discuss our concerns. We have nearly 100,000 parents and grandparents in our network and have many examples of their concerns regarding BelongTo going in to schools. We also had a young gay man do a whistleblower interview with us following his experience with BelongTo and speak at our annual event:
