@Chrisca60966096@MarkLangshaw@YachtClubGames I finally surrendered and opened that menu. I'd love a "fewer enemies" option, but I'm sure I'll find someting I can manage in there.
"Mikey", as Malcolm Michaels, drag name Marsha Johnson was known to his friends, was incapable of strategizing and/or organizing. He was so profoundly mentally ill that he received SSI payments for his mental disability. We were not led, inspired or organized by a drug-addled, profoundly mentally ill, grifter criminal who pimped gay youth. No historian has ever said that he was a good strategist, in fact, quite the opposite.
Most in the Gay Liberation Front resented the distraction that he and Rae "Sylvia" Rivera caused at their meetings, particularly lesbians who objected to male crossdressers in general due to the misogynistic nature of their act. They were both banned from Pride in 1973 due to their drunken, drug fueled antics. Mikey was best known then for photo bombing events organized others.

@buzzleapedyear@Slatzism@Tarsila_cabrita They're also often opposed to surrogacy.... while demanding women become unwilling surrogates for complete strangers via the "put the kid up for adoption" argument. Then instead of adopting the kids they demanded be born, they birth their own. 😑
@Ali_pi307@BlayzeKarp@Ilerioluwakiye_ There's also the argument people fling at those who don't want kids at all... "Who's going to care for you when you're old?" If your only kid has a severe disability, the answer is no one. In fact, you'll still be caring for them when they're an adult, as if they never grew up.
USA. I ordered a large soda.
In Japan, large means slightly larger.
A small drink becomes a medium drink.
A medium drink becomes a large drink.
Everyone understands the agreement.
But in America, large means the conversation has left the restaurant.
The cashier handed me the cup.
I looked at it.
It looked back.
This was not a drink.
This was a private reservoir with a lid.
I held it with both hands, because one hand felt disrespectful. The ice moved inside like a small glacier. The straw stood there with the confidence of a flag planted on new land.
The cashier smiled like this was normal.
So I accepted it.
In America, a large drink is not a beverage. It is infrastructure.
I took one sip.
Nothing changed.
I took another sip.
Still full.
I took a serious sip, the kind of sip a man takes when he has decided to participate in his own future.
The level did not move.
At that point, I stopped drinking and began managing it.
I checked the weight.
I listened to the ice.
I adjusted the straw angle.
I monitored condensation on the cup wall.
I was no longer a customer.
I was the Department of Soda.
A child walked past holding the same size cup with one hand.
One hand.
No fear.
No hesitation.
No respect for the burden.
I understood.
He was born into the system.
I carried mine outside like a sacred responsibility. The sun was hot. The cup was cold. I was small. The soda was still winning.
By the time I reached the parking lot, I had accepted the truth.
I did not order a drink.
I was appointed temporary governor of a liquid province.
I did not finish it.
It finished me.
@GeraltofGoonia If you look at the Metacritic user (non-journo) scores, Mina's got an 8.3, while the dev's last hit, Shovel Knight, has an 8.2. For single player games like these, it's a better point of comparison than concurrent players.
@TeioStreams A better point of comparison would be the Metacritic scores. Mina's sitting at an 8.3/10 user score. For reference, Shovel Knight has an 8.2, and Crimson Desert has an 8.8. Even non-journos are giving Mina a thumbs up!
@Kiyran343@ironpotate@KirscheVerstahl Designate a random island in the South Pacific far from anyone else as Commieland and drop them all there. They can Lord of the Flies themselves out.
