JusticeText

We are an MIT and Google-backed startup that is building technology to improve criminal justice outcomes for low-income Americans.

[JusticeText @JusticeText]

We began working with the @CookCoDefender a year ago to develop video evidence management software. Since then, we have been serving public defenders all across the US, strengthening their ability to serve low-income citizens. Learn more about our journey: https://t.co/rbOxQNgAtJ

That's a wrap on the 2026 National Conference! We are so grateful to everyone who made this week a huge success and want to recognize our sponsors, AKInvestigations, @Cellebrite, and @JusticeText; we couldn't have done it without you!

[National Defender Investigator Association @NDIAsocial]

Tune in Tuesday! 80% of criminal cases involve some form of video evidence. In this session, Devshi will be sharing how investigators can use JusticeText to extract relevant insights from hours of audio and video data.

[Black Public Defender Association (BPDA) @BPDA_justice]

Thank you @JusticeText for being a #BPDAConference2025 sponsor!

Their technology surfaces key evidence buried in hours of footage to ensure better outcomes for public defenders’ clients.

[The AI Conference @AIconference]

I was happy to be [at The AI Conference 2024] because there is so much for me to learn as a CTO.” — Leslie Jones-Dove, Co-Founder & CTO, JusticeText ⚖️✨

Last year at the AI Conference, Leslie didn’t just pitch — he made impact.

From transforming how public defenders access justice, to winning the Startup Showdown 2024, he proved that purpose-driven AI has a place at the forefront of innovation.

📣 If you’ve got a mission, and the tech to back it, this is your moment.

Earlier this month, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the Public Defender Association of Pennsylvania (PDAP) Chief Defender Leadership Conference. 💜

We presented alongside PDAP President Julie Burke on her experience using JusticeText to advocate for her clients.

"I don't think I've gone to trial or through any negotiations without using JusticeText. It's been a game-changer."

Our team loved visiting our incredible partners at the @MarylandOPD in the Prince George's County and Baltimore County offices last month.

🎙️ New podcast alert! Maryland trial attorney @crablawyer shares on @LegalTalkNet how AI tools like JusticeText are making a difference for boutique law firms - flagging Miranda violations, speeding up trial prep, and making bodycam review more actionable.

Earlier this month, we trained dozens of public defenders across five @CPCSnews offices in MA -Worcester, Salem, Boston, Springfield & Fall River. 💻

Loved seeing JusticeText in action + demoing new tools like multi-cam syncing. Grateful to keep building toward justice.

In some U.S. cities, the police overtime budget is bigger than the entire public defender budget.

At @ghc last year, our founder @DevshiMehrotra sat down with @BrendaDardenW to talk about building technology for a part of the justice system that’s long been overlooked.

[Devshi Mehrotra @DevshiMehrotra]

200+ founders. 3 days. Pure magic at the stunning @ojaivalleyinn. Huge thanks to @trueventures for an incredible Founder Camp!

I learned so much on how we can use AI to level up our tech for public defenders and amplify our mission at @JusticeText . Ready to get back to work. 🚀

[JusticeText @JusticeText]

Public defenders do the critical work of telling their clients’ full stories - ensuring the court sees them as more than just a case file. As Thalia Sady from @mpdlaw1 in Portland puts it:

“I feel like I don’t know a single client that doesn’t have trauma in their background.”

[Innovative Prosecution Consulting @InnovativePros3]

AI can help bridge the resource gap between district attorneys offices & public defenders. @JusticeText is at the forefront of this, analyzing & transcribing hours of video evidence in minutes. For more info: https://t.co/jmjpFI3YOA
Check back next Fri. for our next AI video.

It was such a pleasure to present at @The_ACDLA Death Penalty Seminar in Birmingham earlier this month. We loved sharing how tools like JusticeText can help Alabama defense attorneys navigate their complex capital cases.
