With no choice but to fight for what's right, against so many who want you to stay quiet, its perseverance that pays. The love for my children gives me strength i never knew i had https://t.co/OQzp1418zB
Still carefully selecting only those conformist advocates who donโt expose the reality. A policy based on such fake foundations will not truly benefit kids with allergy in school
Good news re schools, I hope! At same time v concerned that the 2 charities (@AllergyUK1 @Anaphylaxiscoms) who hav compiled new guidelines r same charities who hid away,REFUSED 2 help us thru our trauma,REFUSED to sign our successful petition, claiming all was well in schools๐ค
Still we have the inherent problem of those charities STILL not engaging with parents/families who know whatโs going on in schools, have inside knowledge of whatโs needed. Still not seeking the advice of parents who have been thru hell & had to take legal action against schools
@foodallergyuk ... Petition we set up for proper, suitable mandatory allergy care in schools! The resistance we faced even from those in 'apparent' influential positions was appalling. Systemic problems here that run very very deep.
@foodallergyuk Gosh, all this brings back so many bad memories! Schools implement what's easy hence the dumb ass attendance gifts! There is still NO fit for purpose policy re #allergycare/ med cond in school. They don't have the 1st clue how to implement any sort of adequate care. Hence the..
@Anaphylaxiscoms @foodallergyuk ... Life threatening failures our Son was being subjected to at school. Lynne Regents words extended to "children r rubber balls, they bounce back". No they fucking don't BTW, not after such experiences which threaten their lives so significantly
@TimMcLachlanCEO@NatashasLegacy It's fantastic, first heard about these thru @nutfreelivinguk @nutfreeang who do an amazing job of sourcing and sharing hundreds of nut free goodies. I always freshly bake but these r a great alternative option. Always refer to @nutfreelivinguk, they r fab๐
@tomeesmith@DrAdamFox@AllergyUK1@educationgovuk They need to provide an explanation to exactly what value the APC cud possibly add to the allergy community. Their input can only be to ensure no school enforces an allergy ban of nuts. The whole saag programme is shady to say the least. This is NOT in the best interests of
@tomeesmith@DrAdamFox@AllergyUK1@educationgovuk Ok.... Its questionable for sure... I'm struggling to see why the APC wud have any beneficial input to our UK schools process or schemes. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Why r they involved at all if not for funds?? I can definitely smell bullshit!
@tomeesmith@DrAdamFox@AllergyUK1@educationgovuk ๐คฅ They clearly have received funds from APC in the past. Despite this isn't it also strange to have any affiliation whatsoever with such an organisation as APC when u r meant to be a patient led allergy charity ๐ค
@tomeesmith@DrAdamFox@AllergyUK1 Still on their website, my question to @AllergyUK1 was can they explain what influence & what benefit the APC cud possibly offer to such a schools programme... No answer๐ค
Due to such inadequacies & influences, schools will continue to fail & risk the lives of children
@tomeesmith@DrAdamFox@AllergyUK1 ... keeping their funders happy. Its appalling, corrupt behaviour and goe against working as a patient led charity. Thru our traumatic experience they refused to declare their support & said only if we win our legal case (which we did) can we openly say we know you!!
