Today a massive group of volunteers in Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya picked up 7.8 tons of waste and unblocked three sewage drains! The location was filled with contaminated water. The group managed to remove the water and create an easy walkway for the people living around the area.

This morning, over one hundred San José neighbors joined Councilmembers Salas, Mulcahy and me to revitalize Discovery Meadow — a Downtown gem and home to the world’s largest Monopoly board — as we get ready for the global spotlight in 2026. Huge thanks to @TheTrashPunx, @sjparksandrec, @purplemuseum and @keepcabeautiful for helping make this kind of service revolution possible.
