It's awesome that they are releasing some of their algorithms, including the ones that power recommendations.

As a business, it would be hard to part with this, as some of this would be considered intellectual property and a competitive edge over competitors. But this is taking a long gamble to build trust with customers and the public.

I admire the effort, even if it may not have any impact in the long run.
