@usanewshq I'll answer your question with another: what is the frame of reference?
If it's the car - stationary.
If it's the earth - 50kph (assuming that's what the car is doing).
As a result of experience in the Boer War, the British decided they needed a more accurate, flat-shooting rifle than the .303 British. What they cooked up for it was a 7mm round with a 165gn spitzer going out at 2785fps, pretty much nibbling at 7mm magnum territory. Problem was, with cordite as the propellant, things got so hot so fast that cook-off within very few rounds was a serious problem.
Perhaps fortunately, WW1 intervened and the British sensibly went back to making the SMLE at a terrific rate. The 7mm ammo was abandoned, but the rifle went into service as the P14, chambered in .303 British, and the US-made M1917 Enfield chambered in .30-06.
And the venerable Lee-Enfield with its sloppy chamber and rear-locking bolt soldiered on, unreplaced by anything until the British went self-loading (but that's another fucked-up story).
@DaddyWarpig To be fair, Netflix's business model is not and never has been theatrical releases. IMHO they are foolish not to want to expand, but they can't be blamed for sticking to their model.
Tim Hortons just banned Rebel News from all restaurants, parking lots and corporate offices.
This chain is now a zombie shell of something Canadians used to love and cherish.
They chose to ignore us.
Now Timmy’s is dying.

@BradRTorgersen "Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect." (Author unknown.) So much more true for space.
I was banned from society for a year. I wasn't allowed to attend funerals, concerts, go to restaurants, see dying loved ones in the hospital or leave the country.
So to the inclusive woke pride crowd that's so accepting of everyone, don't give me your lies about everyone being included when you clapped like seals and happily participated in ostracizing and treating myself and many others like trash over a personal decision. Don't tell me to get over it.
I will NEVER get over it.
@ZeekArkham There are some people in this life for whom being granted forgiveness just means they feel entitled to keep on pulling their stupid shit. If I forgive them at all it will be on the Day of Judgement, when a higher power will keep them in check.
There's a story about the missile division at Bristol in the 50s - at one point, they were so screwed that their development office was a taxicab. (Source: British Secret Projects: Hypersonics, Ramjets and Missiles, C Gibson, T Buttler, Midland Press 2007). To quote:
"When Blue Envoy was cancelled, we were on our beam ends: that was our most dangerous period. I can remember Bloodhound II being invented in a taxi outside Ferranti's office."
And yet some people take that experience as the way to live their own lives. e.g. your hypothetical kid who got sexually abused and who has two choices: the desire to never want to inflict on anyone else the suffering he experienced, or the belief that yeah, this is just normal so let's do it to others. What flips that switch?
@BradRTorgersen@snarkyposters It's so easy if you have even half a brain and an eye to safety. If nothing else, it lets you get more ammo when all the stores are closed.
@BradRTorgersen Shit like that is enough to drive anyone to the reloading bench. That being said, my .303 S&B cases never reloaded well. Prvi Partizan on the other hand... that brass is God.
