I decided to use the PTB connection rather than the J hook because I couldn't get a test print that inspired confidence in me that it wouldn't break. Maybe if I had CF print methods, but that's a future production improvement
The aftermarket wiper blade adapters are looking good so far! Will test in the rain and road for confirmation. Printed in ASA will brass inserts for the screws.
@atmoio I love how as soon as more "mainstream" companies finally came around to using Claude, it all went down hill and is no longer the preferred LLM.
These are in ASA. I'm excited to test how they work since the wiper mechanism has a strong whiplash action so I'm hoping the hold up. I first thought about securing them with a nut and bolt to get more clamp force, but the wiper arm on the car has a 3.5 mm hole so the nut would be tiny and hard to fasten. Instead I decided to try threaded inserts.
I added the PC fan with the thought that it'll create negative air pressure to help suck out more particles from the vent since it is a decent distance from the HEPA filter system. It already has a blower fan that is decently strong, but I don't think it is enough to blow the whole distance.
Just to be extra safe, I made a vent adapter for @Prusa3D Advanced HEPA Filtration system. I made an adapter that sits over the HEPA filter and goes to a flexible 4 inch vent. Then the 4 inch vent goes to a old PC fan with its own adapter and that all secured to a wood window insert with a vent hole
I found a better color matched ASA filament that works with my interior from iSANMATE. Interestingly, the grip printed just a tad tighter than with the Prusament. But after 2 latch/unlatch cycles, it seemed to have stretched enough to be perfect. I'll leave it exposed in the elements for a few days and report back
@comingconflict Thanks! Yeah, it's an Adafruit noods wrapped around a 3D printed spiral. The best grip method I found was to just make the spiral a little undersized and push it in. It hasn't seemed to damage the LEDs so far https://t.co/ZqLt5AxnQd
