@tburns34 Admittedly been “that guy”. In my experience, looking to add a difference maker/game changer to staff/lineup. Winning is at a premium, coaches lose jobs when that isn’t achieved. More to it typically, but that’s the cut and dry perspective I can offer.
Texas announces that RHP DJ Burke (0-0, 1.77 ERA) will start against Texas Southern on Tuesday. First start as a Longhorn for Burke, who started in one of last year's 16 appearances at San Jacinto College. Was a nine-time starter in 2021 at Garden City Community College. #HookEm

@Jomboy_ I believe that an out in 3 pitches or less is way more valuable especially over the course of a season. Depth and health are basically all that matter. Keep arms crisp and stay efficient.
Talk about perspective. Inspiring mic drop here from @AF_Baseball head coach Mike Kazlausky.
"All we're doing at the Academy is training war fighters because the next game they play is going to be war. This is a whole hell of a lot bigger than baseball."

Dear Players,
The grass is not always greener. Before you complain about circumstances, are you working to improve them? Before you quit on your teammates, are you pouring yourself into them? Before you blame the coaches, are you giving them your all?
Sincerely,
Self Reflection
There are 17 and 24 year olds playing in college today. Schools might be recruiting you, but are you ready to play against a 24 year old?
You can’t rush your development. But if you are weak, you won’t compete.
@DST_Trey Here they come Trey!

Communicating when you’re injured vs. hurt and sore vs. tight is a huge part of the athletic journey. Athletes, communicate early and often. Always best to be cautious but honest.
