POST FOR CLARITY: The headlines are already buzzing about the 76%+ affirming biblical qualifications for the local church office of pastor/elder/overseer. The broken world is broken in their understanding of this affirmation. We do not reject the beautiful, blessed, and anointed work and leadership of our SISTERS in Christ in the local church. We do not reject nor deny our sisters in Christ, but rather we cherish them just as Jesus and His Word cherishes them. We affirm, upon the authority of scripture, that sisters in Christ are not biblically called to the office of pastor…not because they are lesser than, but because they are not called, just as most men are not called! God clearly establishes what it looks like when He does call one to pastor. Please do not listen to the misguided and misunderstanding media talking points. WE OVERWHELMINGLY LOVE OUR SISTERS, THEIR HEART FOR CHRIST, THEIR HEART FOR THE CHURCH, AND THEIR EQUIPPING AND PASSION TO SERVE AND SOMETIMES TO LEAD IN MANY IMPORTANT AREAS OF THE CHURCH! Loving our sisters does not mean we set aside clearly established scriptures, but rather because we love our sisters, we stand firm in the scriptures together trusting God and knowing that He knows best. ~J

The SBC couldn’t infringe on a church’s autonomy if it tried. If you’ve ever voted to remove a church, you agree the SBC holds that right in its own autonomy.

If you think the current issue is not a sufficient breach, then make that argument.

But it’s not a breach of autonomy.

The number of outside SBC input on the issue of affirming scriptural qualifications for a pastor in our governing documents that oversee our cooperation tells me that this vote at the SBC is about more than an amendment. The enemy is throwing temper tantrums. Let’s keep the conviction biblical and the defeated enemy frustrated! #SBC26

Obergefell Must Fall

Christians MUST NOT wait 50 years for Obergefell to be overturned like we did Roe v Wade.

We must not allow politicians to use this as merely a political issue to get themselves elected and then do nothing! Demand action not mere words!

The issue must not merely be “sent back to the states.”

Obergefell must be overturned,
every gay “mirage” annulled,
every child in those homes rescued and placed in real homes,
and marriage be declared, at the Federal level, a union between one man and one woman.

Anything short of this is a failure!
