It is down to the written rules of the competition to decide the winner, not the discretion of an individual to manufacturer an finale. Lewis had shown superior skill to manage his tyres and maintain his pace. By that he had earned the right for the 5 car buffer #AbuDhabiGP

Max had taken the decision to pit for the soft tyres and the resulting 5 back markers between him and Lewis is his penalty for that. The race result has been influenced by a non competitor in removing the cars between them #AbuDhabiGP #SkyF1
