#jaibhim friends,
The day has finally come. Never thought that I will have the opportunity of celebrating our father, Dr. Ambedkar’s birthday with our country, as my debut film @brantfilm1 releases today on 14th April on @mubiindia@beemji@officialneelam
How many Dalit filmmakers are existing in Bollywood, Mollywood, Tollywood, or Sandalwood?
🎬 Tamil cinema stands apart — it has produced at least 10 successful Dalit filmmakers,
and every single one of them has made a mark with critically acclaimed and commercially successful films.
When others gatekeep,
Tamil Nadu creates space.

I especially believe @jyotinisha's film is important as an essential record of the Rohith Vemula movement. That we lost, and continue to lose oppressed caste students like Rohith, to institutional indifference and casteist violence is unbearable. It's an ongoing violence.
@gaachburi@jyotinisha@officialneelam@NeelamSocial The Ambedkarite movement is tenacious, obstinate, witty and full of hope. The film reminds us of this hope, and of the values etched in the Constitution of India.
Jyoti Nisha's urgent and inspiring work, DR. B. R. AMBEDKAR: NOW & THEN is now streaming.
