@EcommerceBytes Hi @EcommerceBytes ! Shot ya off an email today. I am at my 3rd C2C/B2C marketplace and have a good story pitch for you to pick up! Thanks :)
1/ The ongoing wildfires in CA have caused an estimated $52-$57B in damages (per AccuWeather).
That makes them among the costliest natural disasters in US history.
Over 100,000 people have evacuated, with five fatalities, and 1,000+ structures destroyed.
Let's get into it.
I'm announcing that the federal government will cover 100% of the cost of measures to protect lives and property in Southern California for six months.
I’ve told the Governor and officials to spare no expense and do whatever they need to contain the fires and protect families.
I pray to God that the president-elect throws away Project 2025. I think it would be an economic disaster.
I believe the only way for a president to lead America is to lead all of America.
A reminder that the Biden-Harris Admin approved a rule that required overtime pay for Americans making less than $58,600 and working more than 40 hours a week.
A Trump-appointed judge reversed it.
Despite what Republicans may claim, they are not for the working class.
Harris is now winning a higher percentage of the popular vote than Trump in 2016 or 2020.
Trump 2016: 46.1%
Trump 2020: 46.8%
Harris 2024: 48.4%
Trump didn’t win a “landslide” in 2024. In fact, his victory margin is one of the smallest in US history.

@MichaelJStern1 It’s that she’s a woman. It’s even moreso that she is a woman of color and a descendent of immigrants. It’s the sad reality of this so-called “melting pot” of a cracked out nation. The “wealthiest country in the world”, they say.
Really is a tough call.
On one hand - every Nobel prize winning economist is adamantly stating that Harris has a significantly better economic plan
But on the other hand - the dumbest people I’ve ever interacted with say Trump is a good businessman
Quite the dilemma
Kamala Harris didn't lose, America did.
As a nation, we collectively failed her—and in doing so we failed girls and women, the LGBTQ community, people of color, Muslims, Jewish people, immigrants, the sick, the poor, the elderly, the people of Ukraine, and Gaza, and the planet.
It's unthinkable, that instead of being able to celebrate a beautiful, hopeful new chapter in the story of this nation with a leader who appealed to the best of our natures—we will instead be holding a postmortem for democracy as we enter our 250th year, stewarded by a malevolent sociopath who despises empathy and shuns the law.
I truly thought we were better than this, that our shared humanity would show up. I thought we would reject this hatred and ugliness once and for all.
I hate being wrong about the majority of the people of this nation.
I don't know what's ahead. All I know is that good-hearted human beings are more necessary now than ever.
We did all that we could to avoid this moment, but now that it's here we'll just have to decide who we will be.
There is no way to comprehend or measure how grievous an error this is, but the only thing the decent people of this nation can do is wake up tomorrow and fight like hell for what we still believe is worth the fight, and we will.
I'll be doing that with whoever has the strength to join me.
I'm mourning the country we could have been and the one we apparently are—but I refuse to give up believing that compassion is the right path, that diversity makes us better, and that love is greater than fear.
a lot of companies (smartly) paused their marketing campaigns yesterday due to the U.S. Election. They should probably pause for the remainder of the week… particularly the organic channels. Allegedly 49% of the country (and all current U.S. allies) are hurting right now.
Today not only did I vote for access to health care, for reproductive freedom, for equal rights, for safe schools, and for a fair economy, but also for SANITY and HUMAN DECENCY.
Please remember that whoever you are and wherever you live, your voice matters. Your VOTE matters.
I know we don't agree on everything, and that is the beauty of this country, but GOOD LORD aren't you tired of this negativity towards each other? The intimidation and constant threats to those who do not think the same as the other?
Let's please end this era of fear, chaos and the attacks on our democracy - and vote for someone who will unite us and not continue to threaten to divide us
I very proudly voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
We are so lucky we get to VOTE and this election is in our hands! We only have one week until Election Day so talk to your friends, your family, your neighbors and let's find our way back to each other with respect, common cause, and Love💙🇺🇸
@Meta@instagram can you PLEASE add [handle] before your PN copy because I manage ~4-5 IGs and it gets super confusing.. thx (yes I recognize the irony of saying this on X, also sending this via IG which will inevitably get lost in the mix…) #userfeedback
Hopped off a call with seed stage founders based in SF paying themselves $65k salaries. Average salary for a seed stage founder in case folks didn't know is $133k. No need to starve.
