Kessler Atmospheric and Ecological Field Station (KAEFS) is a 360 acre environmental research and education facility located south of the OU Norman Campus.
An animation created using data from our 24-hr observational period at @KAEFS_OK earlier this month is a perfect example of the power in #wxUAS to fill the data void. (via @TMBell5)
The team is prepared for a 24-hour continuous measurement period starting tomorrow morning at KAEFS! CASS will be joined by @OSU_USRI as part of an ongoing field campaign to measure the PBL with a large suite of unique instruments.
It has taken quite a while but we finally have power at our #sapflux site @KAEFS_OK! Next week we will install power boards and finish wiring micrometeorological sensors to the data logger and start trouble shooting with Loggernet. So close! #hydraulics#ecophys@LexiDexi7
@ousom Faculty (Dr. Phil Chilson and Dr. Elinor Martin) along with Dr. Jamey Jacob from @okstate plus staff and students were flying in the cold/windy conditions collecting valuable observations from a variety of UAV platforms at the field station.
Dr. Kessler was a brilliant atmospheric scientist but also a visionary in interdisciplinary research - without him, KAEFS doesn't exist. https://t.co/ltZTjf41rJ
