Hurricane Milton is expected to strengthen to a major hurricane tomorrow (Monday) and travel across the Gulf of Mexico before making landfall along Florida's west coast late Wednesday. It's bad news for Floridians, but at least this one won't have any impact on Middle Tennessee.
Today, @Imagine_Nash615 released their final report from last year’s survey of more than 10,000 Nashvillians.
I’m excited to partner with @hcato and @CFMT as we work together to deepen Nashvillians’ sense of belonging.

September has been @readygov National Preparedness Month.
This year’s theme has been “Start a Conversation.” As uncomfortable as it can be to think about moments you hope never happen, it’s better to be prepared.
We do it in @MetroNashville, but it’s good for everyone to do it.
Affected counties are beginning to establish local donation centers.

(UPDATE) TVA's River Forecast Center has activated a Condition Red Warning for an Imminent Breach at Nolichucky Dam in Greene Co., TN. The breach could occur at any time due to extreme rainfall from the remnants of Hurricane Helene, which is causing record river levels around the region. Potentially life-threatening flooding can occur as far downstream as Douglas Reservoir. Local county emergency management officials are coordinating evacuations as appropriate. Please stay alert for notices from your local EMA and heed all warnings.
Other communities across Tennessee and elsewhere in the path of #Helene are in my thoughts tonight.
We’re very fortunate to be in a position to have some of our first responders supporting other communities in a time of crisis.
Thank you to everyone helping.
Wow. Hard to believe it’s already been a year.
We’ve gotten a lot done. There’s an important choice to make together in just a few weeks, but thank you for the opportunity to work on a Nashville for Nashvillians.
Take a look at our shared efforts.
