🙏 Urgent Appeal for Medical Reimbursement & Financial Assistance

For the past two years, I have been battling a life-threatening condition — Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) with Chronic Anemia.
As a life-saving measure, I underwent a Bone Marrow Transplant at CMC Vellore in June 2024, which gave me a second chance at life.

I am N. R. G. K. Prasad,
Ward Data Processing Secretary,
Chilakapeta-02 Sachivalayam,
GVMC Zone–IV, Visakhapatnam.

For this treatment, I incurred an expenditure of ₹36.85 Lakhs, arranged under severe financial strain.

I have submitted 17 medical reimbursement bills within the stipulated time, adhering to all prescribed procedures. However, even after two years, no reimbursement has been received.

Due to this prolonged delay:
* My family is under severe financial distress
* I am on leave without income
* I continue to require essential post-transplant medical care

Despite multiple representations and continuous follow-ups, my case remains pending and unresolved, primarily due to procedural reasons.

In this critical situation, I humbly request the concerned authorities to kindly consider:
✅ Immediate release of my pending medical reimbursement
✅ Financial assistance under EHS / CMRF schemes
✅ Urgent priority intervention considering my critical health condition

Making Vizag Plastic-Free: A Collaborative Initiative

The movement to ban single-use plastics in Visakhapatnam has gained remarkable momentum, thanks to the inspiring support of social media influencers. The campaign highlights include a 100-foot-long cloth banner reading "Let's Make Plastic-Free Vizag," a stunning sand art installation titled "Plastic-Free Vizag," and the introduction of crunchy tea cups as eco-friendly alternatives.

During a special event at RK Beach, GVMC Commissioner Dr. P. Sampath Kumar IAS expressed his appreciation for the social responsibility shown by social media influencers, calling their contributions commendable and inspirational. The program was graced by actress Kumari Pavani of Pushpa-2 fame, GVMC officials, and members of the Vizag Insta Community and Millennium Software Solutions.

As part of the campaign, participants engaged in a walkathon from the iconic cloth banner to the sand art installation, symbolizing their collective commitment to a plastic-free city. Volunteers also cleaned the beach and raised awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastics.

The event showcased innovative alternatives like crunchy biscuit tea cups, which serve as a sustainable replacement for plastic-coated paper cups. Commissioner Dr. Sampath Kumar emphasized the need for continued public cooperation to eliminate single-use plastics, stating that the GVMC is committed to creating a cleaner, greener Visakhapatnam.

With active participation from influencers, organizations, and citizens, Visakhapatnam is setting an example for the nation in environmental consciousness and sustainability. Together, let’s make our city plastic-free and environmentally friendly!

**2025 జనవరి 1వ తేదీ నుండి**, విశాఖలో **సింగిల్ యూజ్ ప్లాస్టిక్ నిషేధం** అమల్లోకి వస్తుంది. ప్లాస్టిక్ వల్ల పర్యావరణానికి, ప్రజల ఆరోగ్యానికి కలిగే హానిని తగ్గించేందుకు **స్వచ్ఛ విశాఖ అంబాసిడర్ ఆర్.పి. పట్నాయక్** ప్రజలందరికీ పిలుపునిస్తూ, ప్లాస్టిక్ బదులుగా **జూట్ బ్యాగులు, స్టీల్, చెక్క వంటి ప్రత్యామ్నాయాలను** వినియోగించమని సూచించారు.

రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు గారు ఆదేశాల మేరకు 100 రోజుల ప్రణాళికలో భాగంగా ప్రతి రోడ్డులో గుంతలు లేకుండా, వాహనదారులకు ఎటువంటి ఇబ్బందులు కలగకుండా చేయడం లక్ష్యంగా మున్సిపల్ శాఖ మంత్రి పి.నారాయణ గారు తెలిపారు. శనివారం సిరిపురం దత్ ఐల్యాండ్ జంక్షన్ వద్ద మంత్రి డోలా బాల వీరాంజనేయ స్వామి గారు, మేయర్ గొలగాని హరి వెంకటకుమారి గారు, పార్లమెంట్ సభ్యులు ఎం.శ్రీ భరత్ గారు, ఎమ్మెల్యే వెలగపూడి రామకృష్ణ బాబు గారు, జీవీఎంసీ కమిషనర్ డాక్టర్ పి.సంపత్ కుమార్ ఐఎఎస్ తో కలిసి గుంతలను పూడ్చడం జరిగింది.

4441 పాట్ హోల్స్ గుర్తించగా, ఇప్పటివరకు 2009 గుంతలు ₹6.83 కోట్ల వ్యయంతో పూడ్చడం పూర్తయ్యిందని, మిగిలిన గుంతలను త్వరగా పూడ్చే పనులు జరుగుతున్నాయని మంత్రి నారాయణ చెప్పారు.

అందరికీ సురక్షితమైన ప్రయాణం అందించాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో విశాఖ నగర రోడ్లను మరింత ఆకర్షణీయంగా తీర్చిదిద్దడానికి ప్రభుత్వం ప్రణాళికలు సిద్ధం చేసిందని మున్సిపల్ శాఖ మంత్రి పి.నారాయణ గారు తెలిపారు.
