Here's my position on Platner. Im not here to defend him. Im not here to stick my neck out for him. Maine will make their decision. But for me it comes down to basically one thing. The supreme court.

Alito and Thomas are on their way out and more than likely will retire while trump is still president. If republicans control the senate trump will be able to put 2 more 40 something year old, hard line right wing judges and we will have a conservative majority court for the next 2-3 generations. Any major progress dems will try to implement can and will be stopped. Including trying to restore voting rights for ppl and workers rights as this court is the most corporate friendly court we've had in the last 100 years.

That's the whole ball game for me when it comes to maine's senate race.
