"Trudeau doubled the rents"
Rent is provincial. Why aren't you calling out Premiers?
"Trudeau has record food bank use"
Social programs are the responsibility of the provinces. Why aren't you calling out Premiers?
"Trudeau has tent cities"
Housing is provincial. Again, Premiers
Let's clear up the most blatantly wrong thing @ABDanielleSmith has claimed so far:
That puberty blockers are irreversible and therefore can permanently alter a youth's body for life
They don't.

@PublicEdMB In the past, capping class sizes at 20 for K-3 often resulted in larger classes in grades 4-8 (especially 4-6). Smaller class sizes are needed across the board, especially as we embrace inclusive education.
Imagine living in a country where a woman can go to jail for an abortion, where they ban books, where children have to take active shooter drills, & someone from that country comes to Canada & tells Canadians they want to liberate you from a Tyrant.
That happened last night
@nathanmwinnipeg @docwalker88 @nello4transcona @mbteachers I hope we will work to ensure that smaller class sizes in k-3 don’t result in larger class sizes in grades 4+ (esp. grades 4-8).

We had parents' rights when our kids were in WSD. Met with teachers regularly, could see principal or VP if there was an issue, could read curricula any time we wanted. It's become code for so many reprehensible things
No more PST in restaurant meals! Fantastic! Combined with the savings from not paying PST on flowers, this will save my family tens of dollars every year! #MbPoli
1 in 8 people in Winnipeg live in poverty. Minimum wage in Manitoba will soon be $15.30, which is still a WHOPPING $3.34/hr below a living wage, or $6947 short a year. Meaning people working full time will still be living in poverty but, hey, no PST at restaurants. - cont #mbpoli
Removing the PST from trees & flowers to “green” communities? What? Also, let’s consider who spends significant $$ on flowers and trees. Hint: it’s not lower income folks with small or nonexistent yards. #MbPoli https://t.co/hy6zDoufBS

Did you know mining is allowed in many Manitoba provincial parks?
Other provinces are phasing out park mining, but Manitoba is approving (and funding) even more. With the race for critical minerals heating up, parks may be at risk. #mbpoli@WinnipegNews

“When the PC Party makes an announcement about enhancing rights that already exist, the consequence is misunderstanding and unwarranted moral outrage.” #MbPoli
Earlier this week, we sent an open letter to the PCs regarding their moves to advance parental rights. It was signed by 81 friends, colleagues and affiliates of the Faculty of Ed at U of M. Everyone needs to send a message @PublicEdMB @janzen_m

If a road test isn’t necessary upon completion of Driver Z now, why was it ever necessary?
A better strategy might just be to negotiate a fair deal for employees to end the strike!
So… according to PP, we should “stick to teaching math, reading, and writing.” Ok. Cool. So, @PierrePoilievre, shall we cancel science and social studies? How about sports? Stop intervening when kids are bullied? 1/? https://t.co/qFFGkeBJAi
Kids can’t learn when they don’t feel safe. So since my job is focused on learning, it must necessarily also be to ensure kids feel safe. That includes respecting a kid’s right to share their identity when and how its right for them. It’s not for me to decide that. 1/?
